Jonathan and Brittany Beil Prayer Letter: Serving God in the Midst of Another ShutdownIt is hard to believe that it is already May. Judah is already 2½ months old and growing quickly. He brings so much happiness to our lives, and we are excited to raise him for the Lord. While also getting adjusted to the new roles of parenthood, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in March. Brittany is my biggest helper and encourager. It seems like yesterday we said “I do” to each other. Five years later, we get to serve Jesus in Thailand. I couldn’t be any happier.

In March, our church took two vans of people up to Phetchaburi, a city one hour north of us, to witness in the community. We desire to start a church here in the future, since we already have a small group who travel from this city to attend church in Hua Hin. We praise the Lord that 20 people went out soul winning, and over 50 people trusted Christ. Our group had a divine appointment to stop and talk to some men who were sitting at a tire shop, waiting for customers. Five of the men listened to the Gospel for the first time, and three of them decided to receive salvation that day!

Currently, most of Thailand is in another “shutdown” due to a worse wave of COVID. Because of this, many places are closed, and our church has had to return to online services. We greatly desire to worship together again soon. Like the last time we had to meet online, the Lord has given us unique opportunities to help our community and preach the Gospel. Our church was able to help our local hospital with some needs for the medical staff. We also have been able to give out food bags to our church family. Our church made tracts for our members to give their neighbors that includes a QR code that takes them to a Gospel-presentation video and gives them a number to call to receive a food bag also. Please pray that hearts will be open to receive the Gospel.

Before our town went into shutdown, we had several great teen activities. Normally, I’ll plan a fun outing or games to play so we can fellowship together. This last activity, we picked up the teens to go soul winning on Thursday night and went to get ice cream afterwards. We did not have as many teens attend as other weekend activities, but I was thrilled for those who showed up to pass out tracts and invite people to church. For many of them, it was their first time doing so. That evening, several people trusted Christ, and it was neat to hear the teens talk about inviting people to church. We have a great group of teenagers with a lot of potential to serve the Lord. The newest teen who has been coming to the group is a young man named Nam, whom we were able to lead to the Lord while out witnessing on a Thursday night. He began attending faithfully by himself for several weeks before we had to go back to online services. Please pray for all the teens and adults alike to remain faithful to the Lord during this time apart.

Thank you all for your continued prayer and support. We love serving Jesus and couldn’t do it in Thailand without you.

In His service,

Jonathan and Brittany Beil
