Jonathan and Brittany Beil Prayer Letter: Our Heart for Our Country Grows as We Grow in Our Knowledge of ThailandWe continually thank and praise God for His goodness and blessings in our lives. All the churches and individuals who faithfully pray for and support us are one of those blessings. As we grow in our knowledge of the Thai culture and language, our heart for the country of Thailand increases also. We desire to follow God’s plan for our life as we preach the truth to those here. Thank you for supporting us in this mission.

The months of July and August have been busy for our family and the work of the Lord. I’m so encouraged by our faithful teenagers. We have a great core group of around 15 guys and girls who are faithful to church. We’ve had a great time studying the Bible in Sunday school, having teen activities, and preaching the Gospel together. Every Saturday, our teenagers go out to be a witness for Christ. A few weeks ago, Dton, Moses, and I went as a group; and Dton was able to give the Gospel to an older man who trusted Christ. Dton and his family have been coming to the church since we witnessed to them on our survey trip four years ago, and they have been growing in the Lord since then. Please continue to pray for the next generation of Christian workers in Thailand and Southeast Asia. I rejoice that we are able to have a small part in their lives.

At the beginning of August, Adjan Sakrapee and I took a flight to Northern Thailand to attend a Bible conference. The theme was “Preaching the Gospel to All People.” There were over 200 people there representing 20 different churches in Thailand and Laos, including many students currently attending Bible college. The fellowship and preaching were encouraging and uplifting. It was great to see some old friends and make new friends. The work of God is going forth in Southeast Asia! Around 30 Thai and Laotian men are being trained by pastors to serve the Lord full-time. Please join me in praying that these men and future churches will make a big impact for Christ.

Last week, Tan and I were out visiting and witnessing when it started to rain a little bit, with a big storm heading our way. As soon as we exited the van, Tan was able to give the Gospel to a 10-year-old boy named Gao, who decided to trust in Christ and wanted to come to church. That following Saturday, Gao and his mom said that they would come to church the next day. Praise the Lord that young Gao, his little brother, and his mom came to church together on Sunday. That same Thursday night, we met a Burmese man who only spoke a little Thai. After giving him a Gospel tract, we video-called our other staff member, Star, who preached the Gospel to this man in his Burmese language. Praise the Lord that, with the Holy Spirit’s power and through the use of technology, he trusted Christ that evening. Please pray that these people and others who have trusted Christ would grow in the Lord.

We give God the glory for those who have been saved, for the visitors at church, and for three young people who were baptized this past week. One girl named Bin, who was baptized, is from the same family as Dton, whom we met four years ago. She has since been saved, and I was able to baptize her on Sunday. Please pray for our upcoming “Jerusalem Month” in October, where we will have a special emphasis on doing more to reach our community with the Gospel.

In His Service,

Jonathan, Brittany, Judah, and Archer Beil
