Jonathan and Brittany Beil Prayer Letter: A Month of ThanksgivingNovember is known for being the month of Thanksgiving, and I want to praise God for how good He is and has always been! It’s incredible to sit and think about Who He is and what He has done for us. In October, I sent out a video update for our family and ministry. If you didn’t get a chance to watch it, I’ll attach the link to this email. Since our last update, the government of Thailand has started to ease some restrictions. We were finally able to meet together in person on October 31!

Thank you all for your continued prayers for us. Brittany’s health is doing much better since our last update, and Judah is growing fast and crawling everywhere. As I mentioned in our video update, Brittany’s pregnancy is going well, and it’s exciting to see the growth of our second child! As another family prayer request, we covet your prayers for my only sister, Kari Cook, as she has been battling breast cancer since this past spring. We praise the Lord that she finished her chemotherapy treatments and just underwent surgery at the end of October to remove the tumors. Please continue to pray for her recovery and health.

When we opened the church up last month, we were not sure who or how many would come because of the general fear of the virus situation in Thailand. A total of 96 people came to the church in Hua Hin, with several first-time visitors. Praise the Lord! The Saturday before, my wife and I visited the riders in our songthaew area (bus route) to see how many would come the next day. When we visited the area of one family, only the children were home because the parents were working. I thought that about 15 of them would come to church the next day. To my surprise, 26 people from that extended family came to church, and 3 of them were first-time visitors. It was a great reunion, with thankfulness to God as we worshiped together. During the morning services, we are studying Foundations of Our Faith together as a church. Please pray that our members would be grounded in the truth of God’s Word. Our church was also able to give a five-kilogram bag of rice to every person who came to church that day because of the generous gift of our friends. Everyone was so appreciative, and the kids were excited to take their own bag of rice home with them.

Over the next many months, our ministry has a goal to get a Gospel tract and a John and Romans to every house in Hua Hin and the surrounding areas. This is a big project, with a lot of planning involved. We are excited to do our best to reach our Jerusalem with the Gospel. After we saturate an area, our plan is to go back to the same area the following Thursday to talk to as many people as we can and preach the Gospel to them. This will take time and organization, but we look forward to the fruit that will come from this labor. Thank you for partnering with us to make this possible. I pray that through our efforts, there will be souls in Heaven and fruit added to your account.

I want to end with a quick update about our family. Our plans for our official furlough will be sometime in 2023/2024. We look forward to visiting many of our supporting churches at that time. This month, though, we will have the opportunity to take a short trip back to the U.S. for the holidays to see both of our families and visit our home churches. This trip was made possible by some individual supporters of ours. I am excited for our families to meet our son, who was born in Thailand, since most aren’t able to travel here, and especially to see my sister. It’s also a joy to be with my family for Christmas because my brother Nathan, who is a missionary in Chile, will be able to travel back to the States also. While visiting family and our sending churches, we will also visit a few supporting churches. We will arrive back in Thailand the first week of January and will most likely have to do a mandatory quarantine. Please pray for safety during our trips to and from the U.S. and for our health, especially the health of Brittany and the baby. If you have any questions or if I can be of help in any way, please let me know. Thank you all for praying for us and supporting us. We are praying for you all also!

In His service,

Jonathan, Brittany, and Judah Beil
