Jon Wrightson Prayer Letter: God Never Ceases to Amaze Me!Family

Another month has passed. It seems like the older we get, the faster time goes by. Our kids are doing well, and Annabelle is growing up so fast. Our oldest daughter started dating a fine young man who grew up in our church, and he shipped off this month to Marine Corps Boot Camp.

Soul Winning

I was in Jacksonville, North Carolina, for the third week of September, and I went back to the base to visit some of the young Marines and to invite a few more to ride the van to church. I met a young man named Troy from Arkansas, who brought 9 Marines with him the following Sunday! A few others I invited last month are still attending the services. God never ceases to amaze me! Troy has transferred to California and is already in touch with Pastor Christiansen, who pastors outside of Camp Pendleton. I would like to build a network of churches to give the young Marines when they get new orders, so they will always know a good church in their area. If you pastor a church or know of a church that you would recommend that is near a Marine base, please let me know as soon as possible. I think this would be greatly beneficial to the churches with Military Ministries.

Travels

September was rather slow, as we were finalizing a few things back home, and I took a week for vacation with the kids. The travel schedule is about to get crazy, as we will be in Maryland, Virginia, and Western North Carolina in October. Please pray for us, as I have decided to do more of the traveling without the family so they can stay caught up in school. They really struggled staying focused on the road. We will still travel some as a family, just not to every meeting.
