Jon Wrightson Prayer Letter: Planting the SeedFamily

January saw me dropping off my oldest girl at Golden State Baptist College in California. Please pray for her and for our family, as this will be quite an adjustment, especially for Annabelle, as she and Kayla have always been so close. Misty has been in more pain this month. Her neck and her feet have been giving her all kinds of trouble, but she has found a therapy that we think is going to help heal the issues. Please pray for her! Annabelle started walking this month, and that has been so much fun to watch!

Soul Winning

I have had several opportunities to present the Gospel this month. A few folks were interested and listened but would not make the decision to receive our Saviour at that time. Whether they get saved when we present the Gospel or not isn’t really our business. What matters is that we go; it’s God Who gets the increase. Of course, our goal is that every-one we share God’s love with will get saved, but as long as the seed is planted, God is pleased! I was recently back at Coastline Baptist Church (the church we started and pastored for 13 years), and I was reminded that I had the honor of leading both deacons to the Lord. I still remember standing on Brother Jefferies’ front porch, presenting God’s love to him, and I remember the night Brother Flint came back to church after a Sunday service and received Christ as his Saviour at the altar. Wow! I will never understand God’s willingness to use a sinner like me, but I sure do enjoy it.

Travels

Our travels this month took us to California. We had a wonderful time there, especially at North Valley Baptist Church in Santa Clara. I have heard Pastor Trieber preach several times, but to finally see what God has used him to do in the Silicon Valley is quite miraculous.
