Jerry Wyatt, Jr. Prayer Letter: God Is FaithfulOur first and foremost desire is to be yielded to God in such a way as to allow Him to prove He is gracious through our lives. God alone is magnified when the ministry to which He has directed us is funded and supplied for by prayer and faith without man being asked for those funds. We believe it is still true today that God’s work done God’s way will never lack His supply.

The month of February has been a testimony to God’s marvelous grace. Two different churches we visited completely by faith on the first Sunday have already indicated that they will be partnering with us to take the Gospel to Tabora, Tanzania. It was also such a blessing to us to see their desire for their lives to count for Christ in the coming year.

The second Sunday of February, we were at a church in which we were scheduled to present the ministry, and the Tanzanian family we mentioned in the last prayer letter visited the church with us. That was a tremendous blessing! Praise the Lord! Please continue to pray that they will grow in the Lord and His Word.

The third Sunday we were honored to be the first missionaries of a fairly new church plant. The spirit of the pastor, his wife, and the church people was such an encouragement to our entire family. We spent several hours on Saturday visiting with the pastor. On Sunday they were so excited as we shared the opportunities for aggressive evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. After preaching in the morning service about the grace of God, we all had lunch together and a wonderful time of fellowship. In the afternoon service, we showed our DVD, and then Rosie and Freddy (Sarah and Timothy), our Tanzanian puppets, amused everyone as they interacted with us in an often humorous manner. We sang a song, taught everyone the chorus to “Blessed Be the Name,” and recited John 3:16 all in Swahili. We also talked about Tanzanian culture and answered questions from the audience.

The last Sunday of February, we had another all-day, annual Missions Sunday. The folks were so kind and attentive to the preaching. It was so refreshing! The way in which we scheduled this meeting was a miracle in itself. We visited a church on a Sunday evening completely by faith, and there was a guest speaker. After the service he invited us to come to the church that he pastors in order to share the ministry in Tanzania to which God is directing us. We were delighted and amazed at God’s very clear leading in providing this meeting for us. Actually, this has become the “usual” way we have gotten meetings.

We thank God for miraculously supplying our needs and for continually leading us to new churches. Praise the Lord! We have meetings scheduled for every Sunday through the second week of April. Please pray that we will continue to be sensitive to God’s leading as He directs us to new churches that will have a desire to partner with us in His work. He is faithful, and our generation needs to see that faithfulness through our lives of faith in Him.
