Jerry Wyatt III Prayer Letter: All Is in Vain . . . Unless God Moves InNew Church Plant

We were blessed to help start a new church! We were able to ordain Alfred Komanya into the Gospel ministry, and at the end of April, the Faith Baptist Church of Magu had its charter-signing services. This church is in the northern part of the country, many hours from where we are in Morogoro. Please pray for this brand-new church as they begin reaching others for Christ.

Radio

We are already seeing fruit from the radio! The first Sunday after going on the air with the station, we had a lady come to church. She said that she had been scanning channels and found our station. She heard the preaching and told her friends, “I have got to find this church.” She came and has been faithful to services and special functions since then. We also had a man get baptized last week who came to our church because of hearing preaching on the radio. Please continue to pray for the final inspection by the TCRA.

Teen Camp

We just finished our teen camp. This was a special camp, held just for the teenagers in our church. We had a great week, and there were many decisions made for Christ. It was encouraging to watch young men step into leadership roles and start to shoulder responsibility. Please continue to pray for the youth of Tanzania and Faith Baptist Church.

Shipment of Bibles

The Liberty Baptist Church in Newport Beach, California, partnered with Bearing Precious Seed to print special-edition copies of John & Romans in Swahili. We had 25,000 of these Bibles printed with a special cover advertising our radio station and 25,000 with a special cover made specifically for our Stadium Crusade. How exciting it was as the truck with these Bibles pulled up to our church and our church people began to unload box after box of these Bibles!

Stadium Crusade

Our 4th Annual Tanzanian Stadium Crusade is less than a month away. We are begging God to give us our biggest year yet. We earnestly ask you to be in prayer for this outreach. The date is July 28. Thousands upon thousands of people will be receiving a clear presentation of the Gospel on this day. Please pray that everything will go smoothly, as the groups travel from the States to sing and to help, the soccer teams come in, Bibles are prepared, and all the many preparations come together.

Medical Outreach

Following directly on the heels of our crusade, we will be holding our mobile medical clinic again. This will be a week in which people around our city are invited to our church for free medical help. While there, they also receive a one-on-one presentation of the Gospel. We are expecting over 3,000 people to pass through the clinic during this week.

We cannot stress enough our need for prayer during these two outreaches (crusade and medical outreach). We desperately need God’s hand of blessing. We have done all we can to prepare, but unless God moves in, it will all be in vain. Please pray that the hearts of people will be receptive to the Gospel.

Furlough

At the end of August, we will be returning home for a furlough. We have cut our furlough as short as possible in order to get back to the work here in Tanzania. We are excited to have Montana and Kellie Morrow here to help run the ministry until we return. Please pray for us as we prepare for this trip back to the States.
