Gregg Schoof Prayer Letter: He Daily Loadeth Us With Benefits“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.” (Psalm 68:19) God has been so good to us. These two months we really rejoice over many blessings.

We are happy our box from the states arrived in June which only took 5 ½ months to get here. The kids thought it was Christmas in June – even though it was mostly ministry things.

We also had in the box an 8 foot FM receiver antenna. In June, we took several trips to our 2nd tower location to get everything setup. We welded together and mounted a 20ft tall pole in the ground for the antenna. Then we dug a 25 yard trench to the house for the coax cable. We hooked it up to a special Inovonics FM receiver we brought from the States and when we turned it on the signal was perfect!

We went outside and started hooting, hollering, and jumping around. Some kids who were there watching their cows and goats thought we were crazy but we were so happy that we were now broadcasting live. We soon started getting calls to the radio from local people rejoicing that they can get all the programs now.

In June, we took a trip to Uganda to get some batteries for the tower. The other ones were 7 years old and actually melted when we were in the States! When in Uganda, we also met up with Gene Sharp who is with Independent Baptist Media. He brought back our repaired STL from the states and some other equipment for us. He really has been such a help to us over the years with the technical aspects of the radio.

We also spent a bunch of time working on our Landcruiser. It is so nice to have a strong work truck to get up and down the mountains. But…we did have a few problems. We had some stripped bolts holding steering linkage just fall out as we arrived home. Praise God that did not happen coming down the mountain! It turns out mechanics here previously used like grade 2 bolts instead of grade 8 to fix it. I replaced them and slathered them in red thread lock. I also fixed the brakes properly, repacked wheel bearings, replaced the battery, fixed headlights and wiring, and changed the oil. Now it’s working nice! 

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. These 2 months we saw 44 people trust Christ out soul winning, 4 professions, 4 baptized, and 148 saved through the radio.

In His service,

Gregg, Angela, Caleb, Hannah, Timothy, Virginia, Micah, and Zachery Schoof
