Gregg Schoof Prayer Letter: End of FurloughWe have been so busy traveling these past two months. It was so good to visit many of our supporting churches and update them on all of the craziness that happened in Rwanda. It was so good to meet many who prayed earnestly for us during that time. I thank God for the many prayer warriors out there, and I say one thing to them: God is still in control, and He will be glorified in all of this. Well . . . maybe that was two things.

During this furlough, we have had 74 scheduled meetings in churches. We visited churches in Maine, Florida, California, Washington State, and obviously many states in between! We rejoice that some of the new churches have taken us on for support, and some are still in the process. There is no way to thank people enough for all of the care and love they bestowed upon us. It really helped us to recover and get fired up again.

It also seemed that our testimony from Rwanda helped bring some soberness to a lot of Christians, seeing that Christianity is really under attack. We just pray that it will lead people to be more faithful to God and church.

We are now gathering things to take back. We have stopped at so many thrift stores along the way. We look at our kids now and try to think of what size shoes or clothes they will be wearing three years from now. Angela has purchased big bags of spices that are either not available or are very expensive over there. I had to purchase some new 18V Makita tools. The ones I had were 16 years old and finally gave up the ghost.

The equipment “Wish List” I sent out was, unfortunately, not that successful; but I am thankful that, in addition to money, churches gave 3 mixing boards, 2 amplifiers, 6 microphones, 2 speakers, 2 Apple laptops, and some wires. I will pray that God takes the “few small fishes” and feeds many with what was given. After all, He has all power! He is the King of kings! He is the Lord of lords! He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and the wealth in every mine! His hand is not slack, and He can set a table in the wilderness!

God has given us a wide-open door in Uganda. Pray that we can run quickly through it. Thank you again for your interest in our ministry and for your prayers and support.

In His service,

Gregg, Angela, Caleb, Hannah, Timothy, Virginia, Micah, and Zachery Schoof
