Gregg Schoof Prayer Letter: Back to Rwanda! These have probably been the most hectic months ever on record for us. We spent our last two weeks in the States packing and working on our box to ship. We are thankfully shipping a new engine for our Astro van, song books, Bibles, clothes, radio equipment, an antenna, and more miscellaneous things.

SchoofAfter the entire box was packed and sealed up, the shipping agent informed us that liquid soap was not allowed. So we had to reopen the box—the box that took days to pack, remove the soap, and then repack. We are thankful it is now on the boat and on its way.

We had a good flight to Rwanda and arrived safe and sound at 2:00 a.m. on January 17. I am so thankful for Sadock, my assistant pastor, who was there waiting for us to take us to our hotel.

God was so good to us! We were able to locate a house to rent in just three days. We signed a contract quickly and only had to stay in the hotel a total of five days—quite a record for us. The house is on the outskirts of Kigali, but we were able to get a lower rent this time at only $1,000 per month.

We spent three weeks moving in and getting settled, and then we jumped back into the swing of things. It is so good to return home and to see the church family again and find the radio operating well.

But the Devil is not happy we’re back, and he seems to have sent a bad mosquito my way. I caught a bad case of malaria that really knocked me down. This is the first time I have ever had it, and I am amazed at how dangerous this disease is. Even after two weeks of recovery, I would take a walk around our house, then collapse in a chair as if I had run a marathon. It took four weeks before I was functional again!

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. These past 2 months, we saw 6 people trust Christ out soul winning, 4 professions, 3 baptized, and 137 saved through the radio.ac
