Garry Tingson Prayer Letter: We Need to Be Praying More Than Ever!On the 4th of July, we celebrated Independence Day because of the birth of our great nation, and we also celebrated the golden birthday of our youngest child Gwen. Ever since she was born, she has been traveling. When she was two weeks old, we brought her along to Candidate School, hosted by our mission board. When she was two months old, we brought her to Australia to visit my family in Sydney. She has now visited 30 states of the Union and 3 countries. We love our little Gwennie! Thank you to all those who sent her cards, gifts, and wishes for a happy birthday!

We were originally scheduled to go on a survey trip to Australia for three weeks in July; however, our flights were cancelled. We saw this as an opportunity to go ahead and start Mindy’s process in applying for a spousal visa. Mindy will not be able to enter Australia anymore until her visa is granted. We thank the Lord for the financial support given by churches such as yourself, which has enabled us to pay for this visa that costs AUD$7,715 (about USD$5,451). The visa application process is a very time-consuming process, but we praise the Lord we had this month to prepare and submit all the documents needed for the first stage of this process. Please pray for God’s timing in this process. Mindy was required to get a medical exam, a chest X-ray, and an HIV test; and the nearest approved office was in Chicago, Illinois. So, we scheduled it during our 11th wedding anniversary and turned it into an anniversary trip! Thank you to all those who sent us emails, text messages, and Facebook comments, wishing us a Happy Anniversary!

This past month, we’ve had the joy of being with our home church. I was given the opportunity to preach and present our ministry to the wonderful Spanish folk at Lakecrest Baptist Church. Two people raised their hands for salvation, and our Spanish pastor, Glen Siemer, led one of them to Christ! They also took us on for support. Praise the Lord! We would like to welcome these wonderful churches that also took us on for support this past month: Riverland Baptist Church of Dunnellon, Florida, and Liberty Baptist Church of Strasburg, Virginia. We have now reached 73% of our needed financial support. Our meetings in California for August have unfortunately been cancelled. Please pray for California during this time. Pray for America as a whole. We know the Lord is still working, and we need to be praying more than ever. We thank every one of you who continually prays for us, and we thank you who are investing in this great ministry to win the lost of Australia!

Your servant in Christ,

Garry Tingson
