Garry Tingson Prayer Letter: Our Faith Became Sight, and the Lord Truly Blessed!I love my wife’s life’s verses, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6) During this time, these verses have meant so much to us. Coming out of quarantine, we had many uncertainties, but by faith, we simply trusted the Lord and kept moving forward on our deputation trail.

We ended the month of May in Gulfport, Mississippi, and the beginning of June led us to the Atlanta, Georgia, area. I had the privilege to preach and present to Solid Rock Baptist Church of Newnan, Georgia. The three-year-old church usually meets in a school building but were not able to meet there yet due to the restrictions. We were, however, able to meet in the backyard of one of the members. It was a fun and unique situation. SRBC had been praying about a church building that has been for sale. They put in an offer, and we praise the Lord that it was accepted! Please continue to pray for Pastor Smallwood and SRBC as they embark on this new chapter in their church’s lives.

At our next meeting, I had the privilege to present our ministry to Heritage Baptist Church of Locust Grove, Georgia, pastored by Terrell Hopkins, who had been hospitalized due to COVID-19 weeks before. We were there on their first service back inside the auditorium since the quarantine. Pastor Hopkins is doing very well now.

Next, we traveled to Northern Michigan to be with Bible Baptist Church of Central Lake, Michigan, and Pastor Russell Tharp. The Lord is doing a great work there in a little town! I had the honor of preaching and presenting our ministry to them. The following week, we traveled to Independence, Missouri, to be with Pastor Russell Tharp’s brother, Pastor Darren Tharp, and New Hope Baptist Church. What sweet people they were, with a great heart for missions!

All of these dear churches we visited this month and last month took us on for support! Our faith became sight, and the Lord truly blessed! At the end of this month, our minivan reached 200,000 miles. God is good!

Please continue to pray for us in this upcoming month. Our family was supposed to take a survey trip to Australia in July, but our trip has been canceled due to the restrictions. We have been holding off on applying for Mindy’s visa because of this trip. You see, once we apply, she will not be able to enter Australia until she is granted her visa. Because of this cancellation, we have decided to begin applying for her visa now. Please pray that the process will be quick and smooth. Thank you for your faithfulness in praying for us, and a special thanks goes to you who sacrifice to invest in our ministry!

Your servant in Christ,

Garry Tingson
