Garry Tingson Prayer Letter: Celebrating Our 10th Wedding Anniversary! After a long spring season of deputation from January to June, we’ve had the chance to take a small break in the middle of summer. Our youngest daughter Gwen celebrated her 3rd birthday on the 4th of July. Of course, it was filled with fun and fireworks. Thank you for all those who wished Gwen a happy birthday! The following week, my good friend, Matthew Simpson, who is on staff at our sending church, got married to our youth pastor’s daughter Jessica. I got to be a groomsman in the wedding, and my wife Mindy had the privilege of taking pictures for the wedding. I appreciate Matthew’s friendship and his willingness to be my soul-winning partner whenever I’m in town. Three weeks ago, we had the privilege of seeing a lady saved while we were out door knocking in Pontiac.

In the middle of July, we had the privilege of going to Missions University, which was hosted by FBMI, our mission board. It’s a time when veteran, deputation, and newly commissioned missionaries get together to exchange lessons, ideas, and experiences. One of the greatest lessons I learned while I was in college was, “Be teachable.” We all can certainly learn something from someone, and we should always strive to improve and get better. I love that our mission board is always striving to improve also.

This year Mindy and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary! I thank the Lord for allowing me to find His will for my life. We remember how He worked things out for our good even with our wedding story. My wife and I have been through ups and downs in our lives, and the Lord has preserved us and has allowed us to get to this stage in our lives. Through much saving, the Lord allowed us to go to San Francisco for our anniversary trip and even gave us a meeting for next year. Thank you to those who sent us an email, a card, or a Facebook post wishing us a Happy Anniversary.

To start off our fall season, we ended the month of July with a meeting at First Baptist Church in Black River, New York. We want to thank Pastor Coulliette and FBC for their kind generosity and for allowing us to share our burden and vision for Australia. Please pray for us in August as we continue our deputation trail. We are one-third of the way there. Pray for our health and safety. Please pray that we acquire more meetings and for more churches to partner with us. Thank you and may the Lord bless you!

Your servant in Christ,

Garry Tingson
