We are surprised at how quickly 2022 is flying by! We are in our summertime here in Lima, so we have been busy with Vacation Bible School, camp, and extra weeks of classes in our Bible institute.
We celebrated our church’s 9th anniversary on January 27. More than 300 people were in attendance, even though many of our families had been affected by a wave of Omicron COVID that had passed through the area the first couple of weeks of January. More than 40 adult visitors trusted Christ that day! We met under a tent on the street in front of the church due to space and COVID restrictions. To God be the glory for all He has done in our church these last 9 years!
The week after our anniversary, we held Vacation Bible School and had a great time traveling in a time machine to learn about the parables of Jesus. Speaking of parables, one of our summer classes in the institute was taught by Pastor Noe Montelongo on the subject of parables. We also had a week learning Greek with Bro. Dante Gonzales and will be having a class in March on Leadership with Bro. Valentin Álvarez. Please pray with us for our students as they prepare for the ministry. Our next semester starts April 11.
We held camp for our teens and young adults in February and had 128 campers in attendance. We had a sweet spirit, and many teens made special decisions in regards to serving the Lord. Several teens were saved and baptized during the week as well. Bro. Mark Rader did a great job organizing the camp, and we were blessed to have Bro. Ricky Torres and his wife Zaida leading us throughout the week.
Please pray for our churches to find property to purchase for their ministries! Property prices are very high here in Lima, and it can be very difficult to find something large enough for services and that is cost-effective for the church. Please pray for our team and for our churches as we seek to honor the Lord in this area.
We would also ask you to pray for an upcoming trip to the Amazon, where we will be conducting a week of seminary training and distributing Bibles to pastors in need of Bibles for their villages. Please pray for safety on the rivers and that God would be honored as we organize this trip.
We will be in the States from April 25 until June 1 to attend the graduation of our son Caleb from Hyles-Anderson College and also to attend the graduation of our son Logan from Pensacola Christian Academy. We will be traveling to several churches in the eastern part of the USA, so if you would like to have the Foust family in a service during that time, don’t hesitate to contact us to see if it is a possibility. We are hoping to be in several new churches as well.
