Zach Foust Prayer Letter: Excited to Serve the Lord in PeruWe are so humbled and excited to be able to serve the Lord here in Lima, Peru. We encourage ourselves in the Lord, remembering that what we do here is because of His will working in our lives; and we are encouraged by you, as we know what a great army of prayer partners, friends, and supporting ministries we have around the world. Thank you for investing in our ministry here, whether by prayer or by support.

It is hard to believe that it is already March! We have been so busy with the many activities and opportunities of summer that time has really flown. At the end of January, our church in San Gabriel celebrated its 7th anniversary! Because our anniversary fell on a voting day here in Peru, we celebrated on Saturday evening, January 25. Our church family did a great job inviting people; more than 30 adult visitors were present that evening. Many trusted Christ as their Saviour, both in the adult and children’s classes, and we all enjoyed a chicken dinner and a delicious cake at the end of the evening. Our church is truly a blessing to us, and we consider it the joy of our lives to serve the dear people here in San Gabriel, Lima.

In February, we enjoyed a week of teen camp, which we told you about in our last letter. We were then in Mexico for a week, helping in a conference; then we returned to Lima for a week of Fuegos de Evangelismo national conference here. A sister ministry hosted the event, which Team Peru organized. There were 590 people were in attendance! Many, many people made decisions for Christ. At the same time, we held our annual Youth Conference. About 200 young people were in attendance for each service, which Bro. Carlos Sauceda and other preachers and teachers led. The teens went soul winning one day and led more than 110 people to Christ, and 53 teens surrendered their lives to the Lord. Already at camp, many teens had surrendered to serve the Lord. These teens are really on fire to be faithful to Jesus. Please pray for them, as this month they head back to school and university. It will not be easy for them to maintain their decisions; they need our prayers and help.

We have many exciting things happening in the month of March that we would love for you to be praying about. We will have our church’s annual Missions Conference March 12-15. We are excited about the opportunity to have Missionary Luis Martinez from Puerto Rico with us again this year and are looking for God to do great things in our hearts for the cause of world evangelism. Also, we will be heading to the jungle on the River Apayacu the 23-28 of March. This trip will be going from village to village, distributing water-treatment systems with Bro. John Hays and also giving the Gospel to many new villages.

Please pray for these upcoming events! Please continue to pray for our family and for our health, especially. We would also ask for prayer for our sons—for Zach and Cassandra as they finish up their last semester of Bible college and prepare for their survey trip to Peru, for Caleb as he finishes his second year of Bible college, and for Logan as he serves here with us in his 10th grade year. We are blessed beyond measure.

His for souls,

Zach and Karin Foust
