The Bible declares: “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (I Corinthians 2:9) Missionary Bob Hughes once said, “Do we limit what God can do?” He had a vision from God to reach every soul in Cebu (Philippines) with the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. He had a vision to print thousands of Bibles for every home in Cebu. They labored diligently, and God blessed their efforts with thousands of salvations and many trained workers for the ministry.
A $414,000 LAND WITH ONE BIG THREE-BEDROOM HOUSE AND FOUR STUDIOS
I held my first discipleship class as soon as I arrived in Gabon. We went from 3 to 55 in-person disciples in 3 months, and they have been faithfully attending the discipleship classes.
• 58 souls have trusted Jesus Christ as Saviour.
• 2 have been baptized.
• 8 have completed Level 1 of discipleship and received their certificates.
• 25 are being trained as soul winners.
• At least 23 have already added their names to the membership of the first church plant.
• Above all else, at least 90 percent of the disciples want to labor for the LORD.
We have been meeting in my living room for the past 3 months. We are now running out of room. Since January, with God’s help we have been diligently and prayerfully looking for a land to purchase for the ministry. We have looked at many different places. Most of them did not have a lading title and had no buildings on them. However, I found and visited one piece of land that might be a perfect fit for us. It is fenced. It is in a safe area. It is by the French Army Champ de Gaulle. It has a big, 3-bedroom house and 4 studios. It is 2,300 meters square (at least a half-acre). We could convert the house to the church and the 4 studios to classrooms. We could even later add a second and third story to both the house and the studios. Half of the land could be used for other building projects: Bible institute, Bible college, Christian school, medical basic-need station, etc. The half-acre of land with the 3-bedroom house and 4 studios costs $414,000. A 30-SEAT PASSENGER BUS FOR $37,000
We went from an 18-seat passenger taxi bus to 2 taxi buses on Sundays. We spend $180 each week on transportation. We bring more than 40 people on the buses to church on Sundays. I figured out, for the long run, that it would be best to purchase our own bus for pickups and drop-offs. It could also be used for other church-related functions during the week. The engine is in great shape. It is clean inside and out. The tires are new. It has air conditioning, and it is a 2017 bus.
