Fisa Mihy-mihyndu Prayer Letter: Gladly Spending and Being SpentIt is written, “And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.” (II Corinthians 12:15) Paul opens and closes this verse with a willingness to spend and be spent for the sake of others. It reveals the heart of a very grateful child of God. During one of my devotionals, God challenged me with this truth, the principle of gladly spending and being spent out of a grateful heart and for the sake of others.

July 2017

We started the month of July very strong at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Vacation Bible Time. God raised up a great army of faithful workers, spearheaded by Brother Collins under the leadership of Pastor Ralstin. I thank God for our pastor, the bus drivers, the bus workers, the teachers, the helpers, the keynote speaker, the cookies, the juices, the ushers, the greeters, the parents, etc. God wrought a mighty work in the hearts of both kids and teenagers, as we witnessed several salvations, rededications, and multilevel commitments to live for Christ. I thank God for giving Brother Martin and me the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Robert, Michael, Jeremy, Kailo, Dimitri, and Zander (picture below). They all have been coming to church faithfully.

At the end of July, God opened a door for me to attend a missions conference at the Iglesia Bautista de Anaheim in California. Praise the Lord for their decision to support me! I thank God for the love and friendship of the attending pastors and missionaries. Pastor Ayala put together a team of at least 100 people to go soul winning. We saw several salvations. In Anaheim, God used me to lead the manager of the hotel I stayed at and one Hindu woman to the Lord. Praise the Lord! I thank God for the instant brotherly bond among the brethren (picture below).

August 2017

In early August, I had the privilege to present my work in Silver Springs, Nevada. I was happy to see some familiar faces and the great faithful work of the members there. I am grateful for the friendship of both Brother Cervi and Brother Montgomery. I was given the opportunity to teach Sunday school and preach during the morning service.

I was blessed to be Robert’s Sunday school teacher for a season, where I watched him grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. I was also happy to watch Pastor Ralstin baptize him on August 27, 2017. Please pray for Robert and his family to continue to walk with God and grow in grace, as they recently relocated to California.

September 2017

It is always encouraging to see God bring new families to church through the Bus Ministry. Over the last two months, we have added about 10 new riders on one bus alone. They have been coming to church quite faithfully. In this picture are three riders that have been recent additions to one of our buses. Kids always have crazy fun on the bus!

Hernan, an adult young man, whom I led to the Lord a few months ago, surprised me with his brother Ricardo when they came to church a few weeks ago. I was able to witness to Ricardo awhile back. He wants to go to Bible college. Please pray for him. They both want to start being faithful with their church attendance.

No doubt, September has been a very exciting month, as I have seen firsthand the great grace of God in action in different areas of the ministry. Isn’t God so good?! Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

Your friend and missionary,

Brother Fisa Mihy-mihyndu
