Dear Praying Friends,
We are excited to be starting a new year serving our Lord as missionaries to the people of Ireland. This past January started our 11th year as missionaries, and we praise the Lord for each year that we have had the privilege to serve Him. He has truly been faithful all the way through, which brings me to the verse in I Thessalonians 5:24, “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” Although everything has not always gone the way I would want it, it has gone the way HE would want.
A New Life Begins!
If you have been winning souls for any time, you know that there is nothing more exciting than seeing someone trust Jesus as their Saviour. Such was the case recently when I had the opportunity to speak to an adult man by the name of J. Garcia. Mr. Garcia was very concerned about his soul and wanted to be saved. You see, the week before his wife had sweetly saved, and he had seen a real change in her life and wanted to find out what had happened to her. So I opened my Bible and showed him the Scriptures. We went down the Romans Road like so many other times in the past, and it never gets old. Mr. Garcia followed me through each step, and at the end he sweetly asked Jesus to save him, as his wife had done just a week before. Praise God for His saving power!
DVD Distribution Begins!
I’m sure many of you are aware of our DVD project entitled “The Light of the World.” Well, good news! We received our first batch of 1000 DVDs, and the distribution began this past week! This project has been in the works since God gave me the vision for it back in 2008.
I am reminded of I Thessalonians 5:24 again when I think of this project. Although it has been very rainy in Ireland (usually the norm), we have managed to get these DVDs into the homes of the Irish people. We have only had a few people we have talked to who have refused to accept this gift. Please pray that people will watch these and that God will soften the hearts of the people to the Gospel. We are currently saving towards the next order of 1000 DVDs, which will cost $1200. We currently have $700.00 towards this goal. If you could help with a special offering, this would be a great encouragement. We would really like to get 3000-4000 more DVDs printed by this summer.
Ireland Missions Trip – 2014
After the good success with the missions trip to Ireland last year, we have decided to host another trip in 2014. The dates will be August 7-18, 2014. During this time those who attend the trip will be able to help the missionary on the mission field with a five-day-long Bible Club (VBS), as well as see many of the amazing sights Ireland has to offer. Ireland is an English-speaking country, so you will have no trouble communicating with people or witnessing. It will be a trip you will never forget! Prayer Requests
Please be in much prayer for the health of my wife. As you know, she has been suffering from migraine headaches the past several months. Please pray that she can return to full health with the prescribed medication she is taking. Please pray for the finances for the DVD project, as well as our monthly support. We are currently operating at 77% of our needed support.
Thank you for your faith, prayers, and love that you have shown to us through the past 10 wonderful years. We love and appreciate all you do for us.
