We Are Thankful

In November of 1996, we arrived in England; so we have hit the 18-year milestone of serving on the field. This year has been hard work, but a blessing. We started some new ministries, admittedly some more successful than others . Our church saw growth, especially on Sunday nights, with an average of 60 to 70 in attendance. We had to say goodbye to some friends, while we welcomed many others to our church here in Preston. We have faced some struggles, yet have seen many blessings. We are thankful for God’s presence throughout the ups and downs of another year in the ministry.

Reaching Goals

During the year, I set many personal goals in Bible reading, evangelism, visitors to church, etc. We are getting close to reaching them all. Our 90th soul was saved last week, and then he even visited church! There were 121 visitors who came to church; four attended last Sunday. And‒I’m almost finished with all of my Bible reading. Goals are fun!

Christmas Already

It is amazing how the time has flown this year. We are already in the month of December and working hard to make sure our church Christmas activities successfully represent Jesus. We pray our friends, family, and loved ones‒near and far‒have a wonderful Christ-centered Christmas.

Down the Hospital Hallways

The hospital is such an important place to minister. Matthew 25:36 says, “. . . I was sick, and ye visited me . . . .” Mary Beth always sweetly remembers a visit from Brother Colsten when she was in the hospital during college days. Since we had two of our church ladies fall this month and break their hips; many others from our church family were in and out of the hospital; and I had my regular chaplaincy work, it was easy to stay busy for the Lord. Sometimes the battle for a soul can be won after a battle for life.

Prayer Requests

Please continue to pray for Mary Beth’s mom, Nyna Kaminer. She now has all the ill side effects of the cancer drugs to add to her daily struggle. Grace and strength are so needed.

As we have feared, this month we received letters from supporters to inform of financial struggles. One church cannot support us anymore due to financial pressures. We certainly need your prayers. Perhaps there is a non-supporting church who receives this letter, who would like to join up and support the “Solt Team” financially. What a wonderful Christmas present that would be! God bless you.

Yours for souls,

The Solt Family
