Dave Solt Prayer Letter: Merry Christmas 2016!Merry Christmas 2016!

It is truly our hope that you were blessed this year. Our year had some difficulties with the Homegoing of Mary Beth’s mother, followed by Mary Beth’s broken leg. Thankfully, she is doing well. Thanks also for every prayer and the financial help this year. We are now into our 21st year as field missionaries. God is gracious, and He is always good!

Still Going After Souls for Jesus

We are working at our goal of 100 souls saved this year. Right now 92 people have bowed their heads and trusted Jesus for Heaven. We are almost there!

Resting to Work More Next Year

Our church is all geared up for Christmas! Last Sunday we sang Christmas carols in two residential homes. The people loved it, and there were those who wept as they sang. We also had 5 people come to Christ for salvation that day and good crowds in church. We are still soul winning and witnessing to the unsaved of this land! Also, we are planning a special Sunday for Christmas Day and have a Family Carol Service on the 18th. Rest assured that everyone attending will hear the Gospel! Then we are planning some days of rest with our family as we prepare for 2017. Every day we are getting closer to the coming of Jesus! Let’s be faithful in our service for Him!

Family Time

This is the first Christmas that we won’t all be together. Daniel is flying to Arizona to be with my parents this year. We are going to miss him but are excited with his progress at Bible college. He recently sent us a prayer letter and entitled it “Missionary in Training.” It’s a joy to watch our children moving forward for the Lord. This year we will try to make Christmas extra special for our second oldest, Joshua. He is planning to attend Hyles-Anderson College in the fall of 2017! The children are growing up. It’s hard to see, but I’m thankful for their godly upbringing and all the prayer that you have also shared in the rearing of the Solt kids. God bless you. Have a wonderful Christmas season!

Yours for souls,

The Solt Family
