Darrell Ratcliff Prayer Letter: A Great Harvest of SoulsTruly our hearts are thrilled with excitement about what God is doing through this great ministry of which you have a great part. Words cannot express how grateful we are for all that you do to help us to reach precious souls for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In August I was able to visit the church we helped to establish in Irapuato, Mexico, once again. On Saturday we did an evangelistic campaign, holding several Bible Clubs during the day. Over 800 were in attendance at the clubs, and the church told me that over 600 people trusted Christ as their Saviour that day. By the way, on Sundays this young church is having two services in the morning to accommodate the great crowds. Thank you so much for making this possible!

My friends, I have always believed that the Spanish-speaking countries are, for the most part, very open to the Gospel of Christ, and I thought if we could raise up more evangelists to preach Christ to the multitudes, then we could see a great harvest of souls for the Lord. Therefore, I was very excited when I was invited once again to do an evangelistic campaign in the country of El Salvador with Pastor Henry Gonzalez. The Lord blessed and provided the time and the finances to do so. The evangelistic campaign was for about seven days, and we were able to preach the Gospel of Christ in four to six public schools every weekday.

The exciting news is that we had the opportunity to preach the Gospel to almost 8,000 people, with over 6,000 people indicating that they were trusting Christ as their Saviour. Wow! To God be all the glory! Remember, Jesus said, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

Now, of course, discipleship and follow-up are very difficult when you preach in a school, because you are limited in what you can say and do; but, praise the Lord, they will allow you to talk about the fact that Jesus loves them and gave His life so that they might have eternal life. Now we were able to give out literally thousands and thousands of John and Romans to the students with the address of the church on the back, as well as give out Bibles to the teachers.

My heart was truly burdened and stirred during this trip. As I mentioned, I believe many Spanish-speaking countries are open to the Gospel of Christ, and many will allow you to preach in their public schools. So when you consider that the majority of the people in these countries are under the age of 20, then it could be possible to preach the Gospel to literally millions and millions of people. So please pray fervently that the Lord would raise up more than 300 fiery evangelists to take the Gospel of Christ to the Spanish world and, for that matter, to the whole world, as the Lord Jesus has commanded us to do.

Now I also had the privilege to preach the Gospel in public schools, evangelistic clubs, and a great rally in Matehuala, Mexico. During this great evangelistic outreach, we gave the Gospel to around 5,000 people, with about 3,000 people trusting Christ as their Saviour. Oh, I truly believe the Lord wants us to see multitudes and multitudes come to trust Christ as their Saviour!

Thank you so much for helping us to reach these precious souls for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yours for souls,

Darrell Ratcliff
