thumbnail of Darrell Ratcliff February 2022 Prayer LetterThank you for all your love, prayers, support, cards, e-mails, gifts, and other acts of kindness this past year. Only Heaven will truly reward you for all you have done to help us reach precious souls with the Gospel. Please continue to pray for my mom Diana, who is battling cancer.

The Apostle Paul said in II Corinthians 12:10, “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” Praise the Lord that we have been able to serve Christ on the mission field for over 16½ years. We have had great needs, but Christ has always provided. We have been robbed several times, but Jesus has restored. We have been held up, but Jesus has protected us. We have faced language and cultural challenges, but Christ has given us His strength. Our daughter Alejandra died after living only 12 days, but we have written a tract about her life and given testimony of her life, and through her testimony, thousands have been reached for Christ. Our son Michael was diagnosed with autism, but he is now improving, communicating, and sharing Christ with others. My wife Buffy has battled cancer naturally for years, but she still fights by my side to reach others for Christ. We have also had attacks from family, from brethren, and from the world. But through it all, Christ’s grace is always sufficient, and Christ’s strength never fails. Satan is attacking us all, but we can overcome him by the blood of Christ, by the power of the Word of God, and by putting on the whole armour of God (Revelation 12:11; Ephesians 6:10-20). The world has faced COVID and many other difficult challenges, but we as Christians know that “This world is not our home; we’re just a-passing through.”

So, no matter what storms of life come against us, our Anchor, the Lord Jesus Christ, holds us, helps us, and gives us the victory! The Bible says in Romans 8:18, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Praise God! Heaven is our home. Jesus is our Saviour. We have the victory through Christ. We can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. We are more than conquerors through the Lord Jesus Christ. So, no matter what difficulties and challenges we face, let’s determine to fight the good fight, finish the course, and keep the faith. Let’s do all we can to live for Jesus, love Jesus, and proclaim Jesus throughout the whole world.

One day while out soul winning, my wife Buffy got to witness to 4 young people, who were very open and were sweetly saved. My son Michael got to lead an adult man, 2 boys, and 3 girls to a saving knowledge of Christ, and later he won 4 teenage girls to the Lord. I also got to share Christ with some young people playing soccer and then with other groups on different streets. Praise the Lord for a total of 29 precious souls trusting Christ as their Saviour that night! I am so proud of our son Michael! One day in a taxi, he shared the Gospel with the driver, who trusted Christ as his Saviour! There are so many more stories to share, such as our being able to give out thousands of Gospel tracts. We are so grateful for all your love, prayers, and support, which are helping us to reach precious souls for the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for helping us to make a difference!

Yours for souls,

Darrell Ratcliff
