Daniel Wilder Prayer Letter: A Good Birthday Present! This month we were blessed to have my wife’s grandparents and a friend from college come visit us. We hadn’t seen Misty’s grandparents for 10 years. It was the first time our girls got to meet them. They really enjoyed getting to know each other. It was hard to see them go. On a similar note, pray for my parents, as they will be moving back to the States in November of this year. This will be really hard for us and our girls. They have been such a blessing and encouragement to us for the last 9 years they have lived here.

For the last few months, we have been going soul winning in Parramos, a town about 15 minutes away from our church. Our goal is to start a church there next year. We currently are discipling several people and have started two different kids’ clubs to reach the children. Please pray that the Lord would provide a place to start formal services and that people would keep getting saved.

Christian is an 11-year-old boy who started coming to church this year on my wife’s bus route. He has since been saved and is growing spiritually. This Saturday during the children’s activity, I saw two boys go into a room and shut the door during lunch. I thought they were getting into trouble. When I opened the door, I was pleased to see Christian, with his Bible open, leading a first-time visitor to Christ. That afternoon Christian prepared a Bible lesson to teach the children of a couple that was being discipled. After the day was over and I was taking him home, he told me that it was his birthday and that he had received a good present for his birthday. I asked him if his parents had gotten him something. He told me, “No, but I got to lead a boy to Jesus and teach the Bible to three children in Parramos. That was a good present for my birthday.” I was so pleased to see his desire to serve the Lord.

It has been 10 years since we first moved to Guatemala back in August of 2005. This December we will celebrate our 9th anniversary at the church. We are very grateful to all of you who have prayed for us, supported us, or have sent us a special offering for a need we have had through the years. Thank you for believing in us and our ministry. Thank you to all of you who have come down to visit us. It is always an encouragement to us and our people to have our supporting churches down to give us a visit. If you would like to visit us, the door is open. We would love to have you.

His for souls,

Daniel and Misty Wilder, Lydia, Charity, Emily, Hannah, and Serenity
