Daniel Kokubun Prayer Letter: Bible Studies, Baptisms, and BiblesDear Praying Friends,

Just a week ago Thursday, the father of the family with whom we finished our Bible study in January started his own! He is excited about this opportunity to serve God. He also just recently started his own Sunday school class. What an exciting ministry this is to see the growth of Christians and their eagerness to give and teach others.

One of the results of the summer competitions in our youth group is that three teenage brothers have started coming faithfully to church. Not long after they began coming to church, their mother also came and that same day was saved. Several weeks ago she and two of her sons got baptized! I stand amazed at the transformation God has made in their lives already this summer. We look forward to what God will do in their future.

Speaking of baptisms, I am excited to announce that so far this year, we have had someone baptized every Sunday! God is doing great things here in Lima!

We give a copy of the Bible to every visitor who comes to our church as a gift for coming. The other day we realized that we needed to make another order of Bibles in just three weeks because we had already run out. It seemed unbelievable to have run out in such a short period of time. We had gone through 2 cases of Bibles; one case of Bibles contains 32 Bibles. We had had over 64 visitors come through our doors in just three weeks’ time!

One of our goals for this summer was to have our first Teen Rally. We invited several of our other church plants in the area and made a big night of it! Over 80 people came, with about 70 teenagers present. Bro. Hubbard and Bro. Foust preached that night. Many of the young people made life-changing decisions to follow Christ. Four young ladies, who visited for the first time, received Christ as their Saviour.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. We are often reminded of how vital and important your prayers are to this ministry. Many times it is very obvious that the Devil is fighting and not happy about what is going on here. Thank you for your faithfulness. Only God knows how much we need your partnership in prayer. May He richly bless you!

In His service,
Daniel and Heather Kokubun
