Daniel and Misty Wilder Prayer Letter: Going Vertical, Reaching New HeightsPsalm 24:3 says, “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?” Our theme for 2023 is “Going Vertical, Reaching New Heights.” This year we want to reach new heights in our walk with the Lord, numerically as a church, and in our construction project. Some of our goals this year are to win 1,000 souls to the Lord, baptize 100 believers, average 200 in Sunday school, and finish the construction of our new auditorium.

One of the new ministries we started this year at our church was a King’s Kids Club. It is a program for children from 3-12 years old; 16 of our teenagers teach 40 children, who are divided up into 5 different classes. They have competitions, Bible memorization, Bible stories, missionary stories; and they are challenged to serve the Lord. The King’s Kids Club has helped raise our Wednesday attendance from 80 to 120. Please pray that this ministry would grow and that many children would be reached with the Gospel because of it.

This year we have 9 students in our Bible institute and 34 students in our Christian school. Bro. Andrés Reyes is helping this year to take some of the weight of these ministries off of my shoulders. He is a Mexican missionary who started a church in Guatemala City 10 years ago. He has done a great job not only teaching but also administrating these ministries. He works three days a week with us and then goes back to pastor his church. If you are looking to support a solid, faithful missionary family, please consider Andrés and Rebeca Reyes. I think you would find it hard to find a finer couple.

With new Sunday school teachers and workers, our bus ministry has also been growing. We currently have two vans that we run twice each to pick up all of the children. It is not uncommon for me to stuff 30 kids in my 15-passenger van. If you have a van that you are not using and would be willing to donate it to our ministry, please let me know. I have a friend who would be willing to drive it down for us. Even a 7-passenger van goes a long way here.

His for souls,

Daniel and Misty Wilder, Lydia, Charity, Emily, Hannah, Serenity, and Benjamin
