In July, we flew back to the U.S. for a short trip so that we could attend my brother’s wedding. We were back for just over a month and were very grateful for the opportunity to go to the wedding and to spend a lot of time with family. We are grateful for the safety in traveling and are excited to be back in Nigeria!
In the last letter, I mentioned that I was trying to raise some funds for a man in our church who helps with the Prison Ministry so that he can have transportation back and forth from the prison. Thank you very much to Bro. Jeremy Snipes and his adult Sunday school class for helping with this need! Also, I want to say thank you to the three individuals and three churches that gave financially toward starting the Bible institutes. So far, I’ve traveled to four churches in three different states around Nigeria and have been able to help each of them start a Bible institute. We were also able to help two local pastors financially with their existing institutes. It is such a blessing to see so many people who have a passion to learn more about God and His Word!
In July, we had a Friend Day at the church. God worked in a wonderful way, and we had around 120 guests! Each of them received a gift and, more importantly, heard the Gospel! It was beautiful to see our members work hard to bring their friends and family. We had multiple members who brought over 10 people.
In October, I will be traveling once again to start an institute. On this five-day trip, we will be helping a church start an institute, visiting and encouraging a recent church plant, and helping another church that will be starting soon. Please pray that this trip will be fruitful, that the brethren will be strengthened, and that the Holy Spirit would work in the hearts of the lost. The trip will cost about $700.
