Chris Pattison Prayer Letter: Philippines TripI have just returned from the Philippines, and I am excited about what is going on. We were able to go to Dumaguete where our friends, the DeMovilles, hosted us for a couple of days. We had the opportunity to go soul winning on a couple of occasions, and we were also able to attend a Friends’ and Couples’ Banquet put on by International Baptist Church of Dumaguete.

We then went over to Talisay, where I will be working with Pastor Marco and Faith Baptist Church. The Sunday that I was there, the church had 119 in attendance, with 24 visitors and 12 baptized. That Wednesday I was able to preach, and on Thursday I taught the college students for a couple of hours. I loved being able for a couple of days to be a part of the ministry where I will be serving in the future.

While I was in the Philippines, I had several opportunities to go soul winning. There is one story that sticks out to me. While in Dumaguete, my partner Lestor and I had the opportunity to go soul winning in the courtyard of a hospital. I met a family of four, but only the dad could understand English. I was able to go through the Gospel with him, and he received Christ as his Saviour. I then had him translate to his family, and the rest of his family got saved. As we were about to pray, the man got tears in his eyes as he realized that he and his family were going to Heaven.

I am so thankful that I was able to go to the Philippines for a couple of weeks, but now I am eager to get back. Please pray that God will guide us to the right churches that will partner with us. We can’t thank you enough for your prayers and financial support.

Thanks,

The Pattison Family
