Charlie Vest Prayer Letter: Gospel Baptist Church Celebrates 12th Anniversary!Vest1In September the Gospel Baptist Church of Bacolod City, Philippines, celebrated their 12th anniversary with over 1,000 present and 121 souls saved, including 4 police officers. We praise the Lord for the continued great reports from Pastor Felix and his workers. We are excited to be able to spend 10 days with them this coming January. Reports from our church planters in Burma include many souls being saved and the churches growing.

The months of October and November had us visiting churches in Michigan, Indiana, North Carolina, and Louisiana. The many long miles of driving were worth the opportunity to see many of our faithful supporters and to present our ministry to some new friends. In two churches we participated in their “Missionary Christmases” and were thoroughly spoiled and showered with gifts.

We have also been preparing for our trip to the Philippines from January 15 to February 19, 2015. We will hold a pastors’ conference in Bacolod and will have the opportunity to present FBMI’s Teaching All Nations program to hundreds of pastors and workers. After we leave Bacolod, we will visit churches in Iloilo, General Santos, and Manila. It will be special to also get to spend some time with Kay’s sister and her family.

After our return, we will be back at trying to raise the funds needed to get the foundation of the Bible college started in Rangoon, Burma. The materials alone will cost us about $11,000, and we are praying to have the money raised and the first floor completed by June 2015. Here are some estimates of the materials needed:

1. Iron bars $1,400
2. Cement $1,700
3. Gravel $3,200
4. Sand $ 500
5. Bricks $3,500 (12 cents apiece)
6. Lumber $1,000

Perhaps you or your church could help with the purchasing of just one item so the building process could begin.

As we approach the coming year, we thank God for His continued protection and provision. We thank each of you for your continued prayer and financial support. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
