Charles Osgood Prayer Letter: Building Buildings and Building FamiliesThank you for your prayers and support!

Fundamental Baptist Church of Barekuma

On November 14 while we were soul winning in the village of Kumi, we met a 58-year-old man named Kwabena, who spoke very good English, which is not common in the village. He said he was a Christian because he attended a Presbyterian church. However, he was not confident he would go to Heaven if he died. He happily received the truth and placed his faith in Christ! Please pray that he will grow and come to our church in Barekuma.

I want to give a special thanks to the Berean Baptist Church in Galesville, Wisconsin. They sent us a generous offering to help us to work towards the completion of our church building. We have been able to plaster the outside of the building, and we have begun work on the front porch.

Also, on November 29, we took up a Harvest Offering to raise money to help complete the church building. The members in Barekuma gave GH¢866 (Ghanaian cedis), which is about US$150. Many of them are farmers and do not have much money. I was very happy to see them give and sacrifice for their church.

Converts

For the last few months, I have been going soul winning on Fridays and Saturdays with Fred and Prince, two young men who are training to serve God in our church. One Friday afternoon, we decided to go to a new area. As we approached the door of a house, we were surprised to see a sticker from our church on the door. We found out that the owner of the house was our church member. We were able to witness to her daughter-in-law Abena. Abena told us that she had been thinking about what would happen to her if she died and had discussed it with her husband—she was afraid to die. What joy she had when she heard God’s plan of salvation! She sweetly trusted in Christ! Afterwards she gave us all chicken and rice! The laborer is worthy of his hire.

Baby Dedication

In November, we had a Baby Dedication service. In all, 11 babies were dedicated to be raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. However, it was a special blessing to see 6 couples dedicate their babies to Christ who were single adults in our church when I became the singles’ director in 2014. They have since gotten married and are raising their children in our church.

We wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

In Christ,

Charles, Lindsey, and Josiah Osgood
