Charles Newton Prayer Letter: In God's TimingThank God, we were able to kick off deputation officially the first week of March! Through the first month of deputation, we learned that things truly are always on God’s time. We had originally planned to start deputation a month sooner, but God had other plans. Melissa and I are truly thankful we decided to trust God’s timing, because once it was in God’s timing, everything started to fall into place.

God has blessed tremendously; so far, we have had a scheduled meeting almost every Sunday. We are very thankful that at the first meeting we had, God impressed upon the church’s heart to take us on for support. This was a smaller church with a fairly new pastor, but it was an encouragement to see the work God was doing in the lives of the people as they prepared for their big Easter Sunday. Oftentimes it’s the smallest churches that make the biggest impact.

One of our greatest blessings on deputation has been being able to go soul winning with almost all of the churches we have had the privilege to visit. The greatest privilege of all was being able to participate in our home church’s “Everywhere Sunday.” This big day consisted of about 100 Bible Clubs being conducted in between the morning and night service. Melissa and I were each able to go with a different group to help run the Bible Clubs. Overall, God allowed our sending church to see 502 souls saved just that afternoon. Praise the Lord!

We ask for continued prayer for God’s leading, safety, and provision as we continue through deputation. Thank you to all of the churches that have already allowed us to stop by and present our ministry. Our ministry would not be possible if it were not for churches praying and giving.

In His service,

The Newton Family
