Brian George Prayer Letter: Back in the States on FurloughBACK IN THE USA

Praise the Lord! We are back in the USA! Our home church, Marion Avenue Baptist Church in Washington, Iowa, gave us a warm welcome! Pastor Joe Brown took us out to eat and gave us a very large fruit basket with gift cards! A dear friend, John Nevins, allowed us to live in his rental house rent-free. The dear people of Marion Avenue helped us furnish the house. We have been blessed. It has been over six years since we came back to the USA for a furlough. Our flight back to Argentina leaves on August 8, 2017. Thank you for your prayers!

News from Argentina! On December 1, we had our Bible college graduation. This year we had four graduates finish their studies. I preached a message about the “Last Words of Jesus.” It was hard to preach since it was our last service before leaving for the USA. We are excited about the graduates of our Bible college. A total of 51 have graduated so far. Of this number, 30 are pastors, and 14 have started new churches! Our goal is to start 100 new churches! Please pray!

Adan Carrizo was the neighborhood drunk! I visited him many times and witnessed to him. He would always say that he would be in church, but he would never show up because he would go visit his drinking buddies. His wife was faithful to church and prayed for Adan’s salvation. Eventually, one Sunday he showed up and excitedly found me at church. We witnessed to him again, and he got saved that Sunday. I kept visiting Adan to encourage him to grow in the Lord! He has been faithful for the last four years. He does not drink anymore and started bringing his drinking buddings to church. Some of his relatives started coming to church also. He is a great soul winner! Adam is a shoe repairman by trade. He has repaired my cowboy boots many times. He just keeps patching up the torn leather. He keeps my boots and the shoes of the rest of the family repaired. He goes soul winning in the local hospitals. He goes from bed to bed passing out Gospel tracts and praying with the patients. He is passing out hundreds of Gospel tracts and seeing close to 10 saved per week. Praise the Lord!

We would like to thank you for your regular support and prayers. We are here to serve you. May God bless you richly. May God give you a happy and productive year 2017!
