Brendan and Karin Morgan Prayer Letter: Time of Transition, but Also Great Blessing!I apologize for the long gap between letters! We have been very busy the last couple of months, but I will do my best to send out a new letter once a month. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. God has been so good to us during March and April, and we are now finally getting ready to transition to full-time deputation—more on that in a moment.

We started off March by attending the annual Pastors’ & Workers’ Conference at the North Valley Baptist Church in Santa Clara, California. We have attended this event for several years, but this time was different. We took the opportunity to set up a display booth to present our ministry to the many pastors and church workers who attended the event. What a blessing it was to meet people from all over the country and to see so many people interested in our ministry and in seeing the Gospel reach the Japanese people. While there, we met several pastors who have since invited us to come to their churches, including one for the first week of May. North Valley Baptist Church also invited us to take part in their Missions Conference in October. God truly worked in a mighty way during this conference, not only through the preaching and fellowship but also through meeting new people. While there, we also met a Japanese college student who was attending Golden State Baptist College. His father works in a church in Japan, and we are excited for the opportunity to go and meet his family when we are finally allowed to enter Japan. It was also during this time that we learned that our upcoming trip to Japan in July would again be postponed until the Japanese government opens its borders to foreign travelers.

In March and April, we helped our home church, Regency Baptist Church, with their Spring Campaign; our church distributed 10,216 tracts, saw 43 new visitors, saw 53 souls profess Christ as their Saviour, and saw 14 people get baptized! In April, I had the opportunity to fill in and preach at Regency as well, which is something that is always a blessing to be able to do. Also during the last weekend of April, we attended the Missions Conferee at the First Bible Baptist Church of Bakersfield, California. Pastor Ed Walker and his wife Tracee were phenomenal hosts. We had a terrific time getting to know everyone at the church, as well as three other missionary families. Praise the Lord, they voted to take us on for support at the end of the conference! Additionally, while we were there, God allowed us the opportunity to finally purchase the RV we had been praying for! We drove to San Diego and brought it back to Bakersfield and then eventually home. We are excited to see God answer this prayer and see how He will allow us to use it as we transition to full-time deputation.

During March and April, we continued to get things ready for our home to sell. I also worked on several final projects for my job as I get ready to turn in my resignation. My wife is also finishing up the school year as a K-5 teacher at our church’s Christian school during the month of May. We have entered into escrow to sell our home, and even though it hit a delay (thus allowing us to actually purchase the RV early), we are still on track to get it sold. Please pray for us that we would have it sold by the end of May and be able to transition to full-time deputation in June!

For His glory,

Brendan and Karin Morgan
