Brandon Heselschwerdt Prayer Letter: When One Door Closes, Another OpensDuring the month of June, we were blessed with meetings in Southern Ohio and Southern Michigan. We were supposed to have three meetings in Canada, but due to the border being closed, we were unable to make it to those meetings physically. We praise the Lord, though, for the opportunity to send our missions video to those churches to share the need of the Gospel across East Africa. We have had some disappointments as far as some meetings having to be rescheduled this month, but through these disappointments, God has blessed our family with new meetings and has continued to increase our support level. We also want to thank our supporting churches for their faithful support during these difficult times. God has been so good.

We began the month at Calvary Baptist Church of West Alexandria, Ohio. I was able to present our ministry and preach. During the week, I spent two days driving from church to church in the area to drop off our information personally. We were immediately blessed to schedule two meetings for the end of the year and were invited to come back that Sunday, since it happened to be open for Moraine Heights Baptist Church of Dayton, Ohio. We had a great time of fellowship with Pastor Dell’Aria and his family there. We were thankful for the opportunity to present and preach for them during their evening service. Thank you, MHBC, for having us in to share East Africa with you.

From Southern Ohio, we hit the road to our hometown area for the next three weeks. We had one meeting on Wednesday night at First Baptist Church of Goodrich. We enjoyed a sweet evening of fellowship with this precious church and were honored to present and preach for them. After our meeting in Goodrich, Michigan, we had three weeks of no meetings due to Canada being closed. We dropped in to a few churches, and I drove around for a day or two from church to church. Again, God blessed us with some new meetings for the end of the year and next year and also gave us a meeting with one church right away.

Fair Haven Baptist Church of Westland had us back right away. In the morning service, I presented our ministry, and in the evening service, I preached for them. After each service, I was truly humbled by how loving and giving they all were. We are so thankful that when one door looks closed, God opens another door of opportunity to share our ministry and to increase our support level to get to the field.

Lastly, we were blessed to go back to Battle Creek Baptist Temple and see Pastor Dye, his family, and all our brothers and sisters at the church. They have been a faithful supporting church of ours, and they invited us to come out and preach for
them while we were in the area. We were so thankful for and encouraged by the sweet fellowship we had with our church family there. God has blessed us with so many great churches, pastors, and friends as we travel on our deputation journey; and we are excited to see what He will continue to do throughout this year and when we get to East Africa. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. We pray for each of you often. Asante Sana, and God bless you!
