Brandon Heselschwerdt Prayer Letter: Interesting, Challenging, and Frustrating TimesThe month of April has been nothing less than interesting, challenging, and at times frustrating; but through it all, God is always good and continues to bless abundantly. I just want to encourage each of you that Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that these times we’re facing are only for a season. As Christians, we must continue to trust God and look for opportunities to share the Gospel message with others.

During the month of April, we unfortunately had to cancel and reschedule all of our meetings. Even though we had no meetings for the month, we still found ways to stay busy. I was able to focus on completing some ministry ideas that I have been wanting to work on but have not had the time to do so lately. We were also able to put together a “Busy Bag” tote for the children in our home church. We got the idea from a church we were with in Iowa. The tote consisted of multiple bags with a coloring book and crayons in each one. The bags are for little children to have something to do quietly during service times.

During April we also celebrated Hannah’s 5th birthday. We want to say “thank you” for all the birthday wishes and cards for Hannah. We had the privilege to go to our good friends’ house (the Rankin family) and go horseback riding. We had a great time riding horses and a wonderful time of fellowship. Thank you, Rankin family, for giving Hannah a wonderful birthday! We also used some of our free time during this month to catch up with family and friends and to help any of them with anything they needed help with. It was a blessing to be a help to those we could be with during this time.

Lastly, our family was able to be with one of our supporting churches during Resurrection Sunday. It was a blessing to see everyone again and to be able to give a personal update. We were also able to come back the following Wednesday and preach for them during their midweek service. Also, through these difficult times, we praise the Lord for increasing our monthly support level by 2%. We are now up to 27% of our needed support! Thank you to everyone for the faithful prayers during this time in our country and around the world, and we look forward to what God will continue to do in these moments. May God encourage and use you through this epidemic.
