We finished out the 2021 year with two last meetings at Berean Baptist Church of Rockford, Illinois, and Grace Baptist Church of Flower Mound, Texas! We were also blessed to have a send-off service at First Baptist Church of Hammond and to attend more services this month with our home church before leaving for Kenya on January 25! The month of December was a time for our family to make the final preparations so that we can leave for Kenya next month. We praise the Lord for how He is bringing everything together in His perfect timing!
As mentioned in the previous paragraph, our family was able to present Kenya, East Africa, to both Berean Baptist Church of Rockford, Illinois, and Grace Baptist Church of Flower Mound, Texas. Our family would personally like to thank Pastor Johnson and Grace Baptist Church for partnering with us at the close of their evening service after presenting! Praise the Lord, with Grace Baptist Church partnering with us, we now are unofficially at 100% of our needed support and have completed our deputation trail for Kenya! Also, we’d like to say a special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Adams for opening up their home to our family while we were with GBC of Flower Mound.
This month, my family and I were able to have our Final Exit Interview with our missions agency! It was a time to confirm that all the proper steps have been taken to be ready for Kenya, both there and on this side! We were both encouraged and challenged by the staff from FBMI! While there for our Exit Interview, we were able to attend the Sunday services at FBC of Hammond. In the evening service, I was able to say a few words to the church and thank them for their faithfulness in support and prayers. At the end of the service, some of the men prayed over me, while some of the women prayed over Ali.
At the close of the month, I was asked to share the service at our home church with my best friend, Pastor Jeff Lynn. When I was in high school, Jeff invited me to church, and I began to attend and eventually came to know Christ as my own personal Saviour! It was an honor to be able to share the service with him and have both of us preach that night at Faith Baptist Church
of Chelsea, Michigan!
Lastly, we say thank you to the following churches for partnering with us to reach the lost across East Africa, as well as helping us reach 100% of our needed support: First Baptist Church of Commerce, California; Grass Lake Baptist Church of Grass Lake, Michigan; Immanuel Baptist Church of Kenai, Alaska; Grace Baptist Church of Flower Mound, Texas; and Faith Baptist
Church of Lodge Grass, Montana. Please pray for our family, as we plan to fly out for Kenya on January 25, 2022! Everything is in order and done, other than all of us taking a COVID test with negative results two days before we fly out.
