Brandon and Ali Heselschwerdt Prayer Letter: Continuing to Learn the Kiswahili LanguageAfter enjoying a short, three-week break from language school and seeing a couple different ministries in Kenya, Ali and I are now back in full swing with language classes! We started back up with language school on July 5 and had two straight weeks of classes before both Ali and I came down with COVID. Praise the Lord, after two weeks of rest and recovering, we now are right back at it with language school. Lord willing, we will be finished with language school on October 7. Please continue to pray that the Lord will continue to guide us through our classes and that we will be able to speak Kiswahili fluently by the time we finish.

Besides language classes and studying this month, we have been blessed to see a few other ministries to learn what God would have for us to learn in preparation for when the time comes to begin our own ministry. One of the highlights from this month was seeing the two ladies, Moraine and Lydia, from Bro. Peter Morris’s Wednesday night Bible study follow the Lord in believer’s baptism! It has been such a blessing to see the growth in these two ladies over the last several months and to see their hunger for the truth of the Word of God.

Another highlight this month was being a part of a few more services in our team members’ church and seeing the continued growth in this new church plant. On the 31st of this month, we were able to help out by filling in for their Sunday school class. We had a wonderful time with the children, and after the services, we were able to witness Bro. Charles Newton baptizing 10 newly saved souls within his church!

Please continue to pray for Ali and me as we learn Kiswahili and as we prepare to finish on October 7! Also, please continue to pray for our family as we seek the Lord’s direction on where exactly to begin a ministry here in Kenya. Lastly, we ask for prayer as we visit many different ministries over the next few months to learn and grow in how our ministry can be most beneficial to the Kenyans.

Thank you all for your faithful prayers and support. God bless you.

Your co-laborers for lost souls across East Africa,
