Bob Bowen Prayer Letter: The Need of Bibles Is Still So Great!“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19) We started September in Jefferson, Texas, at Heritage Baptist Church, where we had the privilege to help load a container with 10½ million Gospel tracts supplied by Fellowship Tract League to be shipped to Northeast India. Once again, God supplied a great need through Pastor Buckner and his fine church.

We traveled to Gulfport, Mississippi, where we prepared the documentation for the container of Bibles, which was loaded on September 8. Enclosed is a list of all the different organizations that gave sacrificially to supply the 54,000 Scriptures we were able to ship to Northeast India. This was our 16th container of Scripture but our first one shipped to India. Thank God for Dr. Rene’ Freret and the good staff that operates the BEAMS office. Our 16th container is being shipped to Chil Chil Baptist College under the supervision of Missionary Andy Long, one of my former students from Texas Baptist College. There’s a long list of pastors waiting for these much-needed Bibles and Gospel material. I am scheduled to preach again at Chil Chil Baptist College and Seminary in May of 2015.

We thank God for all those who gave to make this container of Bibles possible. BEAMS will match every $4.00 that I personally raise toward Bibles. We thank God for once again supplying the shipping cost through our supporting churches and friends. The average cost is $6,000 per container.

Several thousand Thai and Burmese Bibles still remain in the BEAMS warehouse waiting for funds to be raised to pay for the cost of printing. If you would like to have a part in supplying this need, please send a donation Payable to BEAMS using the enclosed BEAMS envelope with the RED LABEL reading “BEAMS Bibles for Southeast Asia.” Bibles cannot be shipped until they are fully paid for. Please pray with us that this need be met so that more Bibles can be sent to the people of Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, and other surrounding areas in Southeast Asia.

If you would like to donate toward the cost of shipping containers to Southeast Asia, please send your donation Payable to FBMI to the following address: FBMI, 507 State Street, Hammond, IN 46320. Please designate the donation For #135 (or Bob Bowen), Shipping.

I drove nearly 4,700 miles and had the privilege to present our ministry in several new churches this month. The Lord allowed us to see several saved out soul winning, but our favorite was in Texas, leading to Christ the great-granddaughter of one of our dearest friends, Mrs. Jean Jennings.

My wife and I celebrated our 48th anniversary during the missions conference in Kilgore, Texas. We were able to spend time with several of our kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. What a blessing!

I was invited to preach at my alma mater, Texas Baptist College. It has since been renamed Texas Independent Baptist Seminary. Dr. Vern Lovelady, President, is doing a great job. Dr. Bob Gray II is now the pastor of Longview Baptist Temple and chancellor of the college. I am grateful to both of them for allowing me the opportunity to preach in Chapel.

Pastor Curtis Hall introduced a new ministry of Maranatha Baptist Church, which is called H.E.L.P. Missions. Since Pastor Hall made a trip to Southeast Asia last January, he has been burdened to supply materials for missionaries working in that part of the world. You can contact him at curtishall@gmail.com for information, material, music, and other resources that will assist and strengthen Christian ministries worldwide.

The Lord continues to graciously supply all our needs. I am looking forward to returning to Thailand on November 19 to begin the process of starting new Bible institutes in every nation in Southeast Asia. The program is called Teaching All Nations (TAN).

Thank you for praying, giving, and allowing us to be your missionaries in Southeast Asia. We love you.
