Upon my return from Southeast Asia, I immediately returned to visiting churches to report of the great need for the Word of God in that part of the world. The Lord allowed me to travel 5,369 miles during the month of July. He does protect our going out and our coming in. Amen!
The first week I meet with Dr. Ed Tutton to give a report on the new Bible institutes that we have helped to establish in Southeast Asia. In the last 8 months, we have introduced Teaching All Nations to 25 different men on the mission field, representing 10 different nations. I believe that TAN will be the instrument that God will use to reach the nations with the Gospel.
I was able to introduce our ministry of raising funds for Bibles in 8 different churches during the month of July, and I was able to preach a missions conference for my good friend, Pastor Chad Owen, in Corsicana, Texas. What a blessing he and his church have been to getting the Word of God into our part of the world.
I was a part of the Bearing Precious Seed line ministry at Pastor Phil Ericson’s church, where we assembled 10,000 English John & Romans. Jersey Shore Baptist Church in New Jersey has done this type of project 5 different times.
BPS is putting together 300,000 Thai John & Romans in Milford. As soon as they are complete, we will be shipping them to Bangkok. These will be used this Christmas season in the public schools in Thailand, where we have freedom to preach the Gospel and pass out the Word of God by the way of John & Romans and Gospel tracts.
I spent the last week of July at the National Sword Conference in Walkertown, North Carolina, where I helped man the table for BEAMS and told the visiting pastors of the great need of the Word of God in Southeast Asia and the world. Dr. Bob Robertson is still the pastor. His dear wife had just gone Home to be with the Lord just two weeks before.
The second week of July, my wife made the decision to move in with her mother in Quincy, Illinois. Her mother will be 100 years old in February, and the family does not want to put her in a nursing home. She will need care 24/7, but she is able to move around and still has a good appetite.
