Bob Bowen Prayer Letter: Order Placed for 7,000 Thai Bibles!“The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.” (Psalm 68:11)

What a great way to start off the New Year by placing an order for 7,000 whole Bibles in Thailand. This is a $60,000 project that has been provided by a “great company,” those of you who give on a regular basis and by special offerings. You are truly GREAT! Many thanks to Phil Pope for helping us with this order.

Dr. Curtis Hall and his family spent a month in Thailand rearranging the B.E.S.T. Distribution Center for Bibles that will be coming soon from our printer in Northern Thailand, ACTSCO. Before Dr. Hall left for Thailand, I met with him in Rogers, Arkansas, where we set some great goals for this year. I believe the Lord is going to allow us to do even “greater works than these” in 2020.

B.E.A.M.S. has printed another additional 10,000 Thai Bibles, which will be shipped to Thailand. That means thousands of new believers will be able to own a copy of the Word of God. We thank God for the work B.E.A.M.S. is doing to provide Bibles for those who have never seen a copy of God’s Word.

The Lord allowed me to travel several times this month to preach at some great churches, including to North Carolina to preach for Pastor Scott Gray. It’s been amazing watching Bro. Scott grow from a former bus captain, to a former college student, and now into a great pastor. Praise the Lord!

My passion is to tell others of the great need for Scriptures around the world. It is hard to imagine, but most of the world has never seen a copy of God’s Word. A report by Wycliff Bible Translators said that there are still 2,100 languages that do not have a translation of the Bible in their language. Over half of the world has never seen John 3:16 in their mother tongue. It takes 6-10 years to translate a New Testament.

Thank God for the great company of believers who still believe it is important to get a copy of the Scripture into the hands of all those who have never heard the Gospel. I believe our greatest reward will be in Heaven one day when we will see all those who were provided a copy of God’s Word. The amazing part will be discovering how much good has been done by the great company of those who provided Bibles to believers around the world where they were not available before.

Praise the Lord! What a wonderful ministry the Lord allows us to have a part in. B.E.S.T. Missions was able to supply 150 leather, soul-winning New Testaments for pastors in Africa, and a number of whole Bibles were provided for a Pastors’ Conference in Africa.

This month, I reached mile-marker 72, and the road is getting more difficult every year. My mind is 35, but my body constantly reminds me that I’m twice that old and in need of repairs!

I traveled to several churches this month to raise support and awareness of the need for the Word of God to be published around the world.

I was invited to teach a class at Texas Independent Baptist Seminary and to preach a chapel service. It was awesome to see some of my former students now teaching the next generation of preachers.

Enclosed is a B.E.S.T. Missions Bible-Reading Checklist. I think that every believer should spend time in the Word of God daily. The checklist will help you keep up where you have read. If you would like to have more copies, please text me at 219-718-7772, or email me at bob.bowen@fbmi.org.

We also have small coin banks available for folks to save change for B.E.S.T. Missions. One penny provides three printed pages of the Word of God for those who have never seen or owned a copy of the Bible. I would be more than happy to provide these for you also.

One pastor has a young Spanish boy in his church who fills the bank with coins every 3-4 weeks. That little boy will be amazed when he gets to Heaven.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support. Thank you for your support in printing and distributing the Word of God for others around the world. We love you and thank you.

Into all the world,

Bob Bowen
