Bob Bowen Prayer Letter: God Takes Great Care of His Missionaries“The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” (Psalm 121:8) It is truly amazing how God takes care of His missionaries as they travel. We must never take for granted how He protects and provides. During the months of July and August, I drove 8,228 miles. I was able to present our work for the Lord in 10 different churches during July. I also had the privilege to represent FBMI during the annual Youth Conference at First Baptist Church of Hammond.

I had the privilege to represent the BEAMS Bible Ministry at the National Sword Conference in Walkertown, North Carolina. It astonishes me how many pastors still know nothing about the great Bible-distributing ministry of BEAMS. Over 3,000 missionaries in 150 nations receive whole, hardback Bibles in their languages from BEAMS at no cost to the missionary. This information should be “shouted from the rooftops” around our nation so even more could be accomplished.

I thank God for Pastor Jon White at Freedom Baptist Church in Rural Hall, North Carolina, for the opportunity to present our work on a Wednesday night. Pastor White’s folks are so generous! Besides giving us a tremendous love offering for Bibles, they also purchased several of our new soul-winning booklets explaining God’s simple plan of salvation. The booklets contain 15 full-colored pictures with 62 Bible verses explaining the Gospel. Many people from different churches have told me that the booklet has been a great help to them in their personal soul winning.

Pastor Phil Erickson invited me to spend a few days at Jersey Shore Baptist Church in Galloway, New Jersey. While there I participated in helping to assemble a huge supply of John & Romans for Bearing Precious Seed. It was truly a blessing to be with all those fine folks.

We are getting very close to procuring the amount of Scriptures needed to complete the container for Northeast India (Nagaland). The Lord has provided us with some great folks who have helped in preparing for this shipment. I will make preparations to return to Thailand as soon as the shipment is ready.

Thank you for caring for the billions of souls on the other side of the world. Please pray for the peaceful settlement of the military coup in Thailand. The churches are still going strong, and our people there are doing well. They are looking forward to my return soon.
