Bob and Jacqueline Bowen Prayer Letter: 2021 Was a Very Productive Year“The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.”
(Psalm 68:11)

I started off the month with my annual trip to Whitesburg, Georgia, to preach at Mount Zion Baptist Church for Pastor Dexter Landers. He and his church love to provide for the publishing of the Word of God, and they collect change during Sunday school all year long for this cause. This year, they presented $5,000 to me during the First Regional BEST Missions Conference for our next project of printing whole Bibles for the Thai people. This great church also gave $2,000 for shipping Scriptures to the world. It truly is amazing what God can do with folks who are committed to producing the Word of God for people who do not have a Bible.

BEST Missions can provide you with coin banks, if you so desire, to help us with the publishing of the Scriptures. Just contact me at 219-718-7772 or Curtis Hall at BEST Missions at 812-205-8326. We will be happy to provide your church with the coin banks for collecting change. Every Christian ought to be willing to help provide a Bible for those who have never seen one.

Pastor Landers is leading his church to becoming a seed-line church. They soon will be into Scripture collation and assembly. Their goal is to be able to distribute the Word of God around the world and locally.

I was able to help a supporting church set up a missions program. It is amazing how God will bless your church if you will only learn to prioritize the publishing of the Word of God.

I was also invited to a King James Bible Conference at Bible Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. Pastor Jeff Lines wanted to have a conference on the importance of the King James Bible. It is amazing to me that we as independent Baptists have moved away from the fundamentals of the faith. Our problem seems to be that we are moving away from the 1611 King James Bible and what it stands for.

December 2021

The year 2021 was a very productive year for BEST Missions. We were able to send 5 containers of Scriptures overseas. There were 1,042,373 John & Romans, 62,296 New Testaments, and 901 whole KJV Bibles for missionaries in Thailand and the Philippines. We have sent a total of 33 containers of Scriptures to the mission field since 2004.

We were able to print 1,000 Thai leather New Testaments in Thailand. We also placed an order for 10,000 whole Thai Bibles, which are paid for because of your giving to help us publish the Word of God.

Would you be willing to set aside two days next year? September 5-6, 2022, will be our annual BEST Missions Conference at Colonial Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas. We will make it worth your time to come and get a burden for publishing the Word of God. You will enjoy yourself, and you will help your church realize the importance of providing a copy of God’s Word for those who have never had a copy of God’s Word.

In his latest newsletter, Missionary Tim Shook, leader of FBMI TEAM Thailand, wrote the following story about the importance of providing the Scriptures.

“One day, Brother Sakrapee and I were visiting the streets we had canvassed two days prior. We came to a house that had a church sign on its gate. We called out to see if anyone was home, and the lady came out to talk with us. Since the COVID shutdowns in 2020, this lady had opened up her home to others who couldn’t meet at the church due to restrictions. We began to ask her about the church and what she believed. She showed us her Bible, and to our surprise, it was the same Bible supplied by BEST Missions.

“She would invite people from her village to come and read the Bible, but no one had ever explained the Gospel to her or the people attending services. It was just like the story of the Ethiopian in Acts 8:27-37. God sweetly saved her seeking soul that night.”

“And the gospel must first be published among all nations.”
(Mark 13:10)

Thank you so much for being a part of those who care about other nations that do not have a Bible. We must be busy about the Father’s business. We must work while it is yet day, for the night comes.

We sure do love you folks. We thank the Lord and you good folks for a great year! Here is wishing you and yours the best for 2022.

Into all the world,

Bob Bowen
