Ben Turner Prayer Letter: Overall Increase in Church AttendanceDear Pastors, Family, and Friends,

“From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” (Ephesians 4:16) We have chosen this verse as our theme verse for 2014. It is our prayer that each person attending Anchor Baptist Church will find a place to serve our Lord and Saviour!

Several praises to share with you from the month of January: Our Sunday night attendance saw an increase of 50%, and our Sunday morning attendance saw an increase of 10%. These increases were based on our 2013 statistics. We rejoice in the Lord and give Him the glory for these blessings. In the last two weeks, God has allowed to see 2 men come to know the Lord Jesus as Saviour! During the invitation on Sunday morning, a Filipino man named Sherwin came forward for salvation. We have been praying for his salvation for several months! The other man was reached during the service at the prison. Please pray for this man, who is from India, to grow in his walk with the Lord. We are planning to have a baptism service this Sunday, February 2. Please be in prayer, as there are several new converts who need to be baptized.

Just this week our son Caleb received his acceptance letter from Golden State Baptist College! He is planning to attend GSBC this fall and major in missions. (I cannot believe we have a son that is headed to college.) Would you please join us in praying for this new chapter in Caleb’s life? Becky and I are continuously praying for the leading of the Lord in each of our three children’s lives.

Our family is truly thankful for each card, note, and financial gift that was sent to us over the Christmas season. We are blessed beyond measure! Thank you!

In Christ’s service,

The Turners
