Angel Lopez Prayer Letter: The Constant Joy of Serving the Lord“We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers.”
(I Thessalonians 1:2)

I am thankful for faithful people like you. Your support, prayers, and encouragement through all the trials, tribulations, and also the blessings of the ministry in Guatemala have been a tremendous help to us. Thank you for enabling us to keep on going month after month. We continue to see the beauty of the LORD through His working in our ministry. I marvel at the constant joy of serving the LORD here on the field to which God has sent me.

JAIL MINISTRY

I am praising the LORD for His goodness and blessings upon the Prison Ministry of our Brother Luis at the giant prison facility in Guatemala City. Brother Luis is in good spirits, as always, and doing the work of a pastor and evangelist from inside the prison walls. On Tuesdays after the services during invitation time, he has seen people saved, but for a lack of workers, he has no count of those who have been saved. In his personal soul-winning efforts, he has led 20 people to the LORD, 11 of whom will be baptized this month. He continues holding Bible studies and discipleship meetings with fellow inmates in his sector. Please do pray for Brother Luis’s, trial which will be on August 12, 2015. Pray that our Lord will vindicate the innocent in this trial and have HIS way in Brother Luis’s life.

SANTA CATARINA PINULA

We are praising the LORD for the good attendance and salvation decisions being made at our Baptist mission in the town of Santa Catarina Pinula. The work there is definitely growing. As you know, we are presently meeting in a borrowed public facility. We are now praying for a parcel of land in that town where we can establish a permanent location to hold services. At the moment, the mission is meeting in two adjacent rooms according to age groups. The youth group at this mission is growing faster than the children’s group, and they need strong preaching and teaching to keep them away from gangs and crime.

CRISTO REY

On Sunday, June 28, more than 70 people came to the service. There were 2 saved and 3 baptized.

IMPORTANT REQUEST

I am asking all of our supporting churches that have not already done so to please send me your email address so that I can send my prayer letter to you faster. Thank you for your help in this important matter.

Again, thank you for your prayers and support. Your wonderful friendship and care for us keep us on the mission field as we represent Jesus Christ and you.

Sincerely,

Angel Lopez
