Andrew Steers Prayer Letter: Satellite Church Services“Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.” (Isaiah 42:10)

We are so thankful for the ministry to people from the South Pacific islands of Vanuatu. The strawberry industry here in Northern Tasmania has expanded so much that there are several hundred seasonal workers here for the summer. Of particular blessing is the group of young Vanuatu men to whom I get to teach the Bible each week. Their team leader says, “Don’t call me; just show up!” It is obvious that these men want to learn the Bible.

Praise the Lord! A young married man from our church is starting satellite church services about one hour from Devonport, near his home. He used his own money to rent a community center, and our church is providing the tracts/flyers. The West Tamar Valley area has a population of approximately 25,000 souls, most of whom are spread out in rural areas or in small towns. Laura and I have been helping him distribute literature in the area. We are praying the Lord would use this outreach to start a church in the area.

It appears Laura’s cancer has returned, and there are also five small lesions in her lungs, which were not there six months ago. She has consulted with a surgeon, who advised surgery in early March. The Lord brought Laura in contact with another healthcare practitioner, who believes there are some dietary changes she can implement first. Please pray for healing and wisdom as we look to the Lord for His leading in her healthcare decisions.

Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for Phillip to accept Christ. He is an alcoholic in his 70s. With each visit to his home, he always makes one simple request: “Don’t give up on me!”
2. Pray for Morris, a gentleman in his 80s. He is happy for us to visit him, but he has not trusted Christ yet.
3. Pray that we not only reach more folks with the Gospel in this new area but also that the people reached will begin attending the services.
4. Pray that we can reach more folks locally with the Gospel with church-wide soul winning.

Again and again, we marvel at the goodness of God in our service for Him, none of which would be possible at a practical level without your support, both in prayer and in your giving. Thank you.

All for His glory and praise,

Bro. Andrew Steers
