Andrew Steers Prayer Letter: Church Is Growing As More Become Soul-ConsciousJohn 11:25 says, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” What a glorious message is found in these words, reminding us all that life is not finite, offering no hope, but that through Him, all who believe will enjoy life eternal. This was the basic theme of our Easter Sunday services recently. It was encouraging to see so many people in attendance.

The labors of those committed to spreading the Gospel around Devonport have resulted in more visitors of late. A mother and several of her children have started attending the Sunday morning service. We have also been privileged to witness the third baptism this year for the church. A young man who has been visiting our church was baptized last month. We are excited to see the Lord building His church.
At the end of March, I began teaching a practical soul-winning course to those interested in reaching Devonport with the Gospel. We meet after the afternoon service on Sunday. The pastor has been sharing his vision for our church (the only KJB, soul-winning, Bible-preaching church in the entire state of Tasmania of which we are aware) to do more to reach people for the Lord, and many in the church are accepting the challenge.

The Lord has been sending people to our door as well. In the last two weeks, Laura has had the opportunity to speak with a young lady selling Seventh-Day Adventist books and a man from the Jehovah’s Witnesses. They did not get saved, but we are praying the tracts and Scripture she gave them will bear fruit.

Prayer Points

• Nathan and Sarah are a young couple with five children. They drive almost two hours each way to attend church. Sarah is expecting their sixth child and is having some complications. Also, they are seeking God’s will regarding moving closer to the church.
• Pray for more souls to be saved and baptized and to be faithful to the church services.
• Continue praying for my health; the dystonia is progressing rapidly and is presenting increasing challenges.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support.

Sincerely yours, in the service of our King,

Brother Andrew Steers
