Missionary #6703 Prayer Letter: Patiently WaitingUpdate

The past several weeks have been nothing but interesting in our deputation travels. We mentioned in our last prayer letter that we were having challenges with renewing our driver’s licenses; therefore, we have had to be more creative to accomplish as much as we could. We have had to cancel or postpone some of our meetings until a decision is made on our paperwork, causing our meetings to be reduced significantly. Some of the meetings, the entire family attended, but I had to travel to most of them by myself. We had to utilize public transportation to get to our meetings: some by bus and some by airplane.

Though the last few months have been quite challenging, we do realize and acknowledge that our circumstances did not sneak up and surprise our heavenly Father. He was quite aware of them long before we knew they were going to happen. He has graced us over and over again. Proverbs 3:5-6 has been very encouraging to us.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
– Proverbs 3:5-6

Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania

The end of March and beginning of April, the entire family flew to a missions conference in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. It was a tremendous conference. At one point, I was going to attend the conference by myself, but the pastor asked for the entire family’s presence. We were all thrilled that we went! The messages and the church family ministered to us greatly. A few of the church staff graciously chauffeured us around every single day! We are not used to that kind of royal treatment!

Westfield, Massachusetts

In mid-April, I went to one night of a missions conference in Westfield, Massachusetts. My flights getting there were either delayed or rescheduled at least seven times on the day of the flight! It was such a fight just to get there on time.

St. Petersburg, Florida

Closer to the end of April, I went to a missions conference in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was a phenomenal conference. The very fact that this meeting took me out of the Midwest to the South, where it was 40-plus degrees warmer, made it a great meeting! The folks fed the missionaries so much; every time we turned around, it was time to eat again! My ongoing diet was shattered for a few days thanks to these BAPTIST folks.
