Alberto Perez Prayer Letter: When Trials Come . . .“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” (II Corinthians 9:15)

Greetings from Esmeraldas, Ecuador, the place where God has allowed us to serve until today. We are grateful for what we have experienced so far these past two years since the work in Esmeraldas was started and now the work in Tonsupa. People have been reached with the true Gospel. We have seen lives changed, seen families come to Christ, and seen them take big steps in their Christian lives. It has not been easy for many of them. We are very aware that the Devil will not stop working to bring discouragement to these precious souls. Unfortunately, we have lost three families that were very faithful to their Saviour. It saddens our hearts to see them turning away their hearts from God and the truth. Please help us pray for these dear families.

Even though trials have come to our congregation, we are still focusing on reaching more, praying more, and working more. Thank God for souls saved these two months of June and July and for the new Christians that have been added to our local church. We have seen 81 souls saved, and 14 have been baptized! As a family we have shared the Gospel with 25 people. We are very glad to report to you this news.

I want to especially thank Pastor Freddy DeAnda and the Spanish people at First Baptist Church of Hammond for the kind love offering they sent to us in July. I also want to thank Pastor Danny Ortiz Jr. for his kindness in buying me a ticket to fly to Mexico from the United States. He saved me a lot of hours traveling on a bus. In addition, we want to thank the church of Lewisville, Texas, for their love offering towards purchasing chairs. We were able to acquire 60 brand-new chairs for our children’s Sunday school. We built them 12 tables and added more adult chairs. Amen!

We love you!
