Alberto Perez Prayer Letter: Fruit That RemainsWhat a blessing it is for us to inform you of the work God has allowed us to accomplish here on the “other side of the world.” We have great joy seeing that, little by little, we have been accomplishing our goals for this year 2014: “Fruit that remains.” In John 15:8 the Bible tells us, “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” By God’s grace we saw many people receiving the truth of the Gospel, both kids and adults. We baptized 8 of our new converts, and we celebrated our first official Lord’s Supper. It is always exciting to see our converts start making right decisions in their lives, even though it has been difficult for them, yet they are faithful in their discipleship and spiritual growth.

We had two different preachers from Mexico visit us: Bro. Tony Rojas, evangelist to children in Mexico, and Gabriel Jimenez, missionary to Ecuador currently on deputation. Both of them were a huge help and blessing to our congregation. Our people were excited to see in these two young preachers their passion and love for God. With their help we held an open-air evangelistic campaign, where more than 140 people heard the Gospel and many received Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. I was glad to see some of our new coverts get involved in this church activity. As result of our soul-winning efforts, not only have brand-new converts come to join our congregation but also other Christians who were looking for the “good doctrine,” which is the case of Bro. Jaime and Bro. Leonel. These men have the desire to serve God full-time in His field. Amen!

Finally, we ask that you join us in prayer for Jaime Juarez (USA) and Carlos Benalcazar (Ecuador). They will be here with us for two months helping me to minister and to possibly start another work in Esmeraldas. May God help us!
