At the age of five in our home in Findlay, Ohio, I asked Jesus to save me. My parents gave me the privilege of being reared in a Christian home. I attended a Christian school until the sixth grade and then a public school until the end of my junior year. I was home-schooled my senior year.
In January of 1997, God called me to preach. In March of the same year, I went to Pastors’ School for the first time. It was there that God led me to Hyles-Anderson College to prepare for the ministry. During the spring semester of 1999 in my freshman year at college, I was privileged to hear Brother Mark Bachman preach in the college’s Missions Conference. Under his preaching, I surrendered to go to England as a missionary.
After graduating Bible college in 2002, Holly and I stayed in the Crown Point area until she graduated the following May. In 2003 Holly and I moved to Delaware, OH to work in the ministry of our home church, Grace Baptist Church. One year later we began deputation. In February, 2009, we moved to England and started Grace Baptist Church in north London in October of the same year.
In May 2016, Skelmersdale Baptist Church, called me as pastor. SBC has seen God open amazing doors for them. The council has given us a building for the cost of $1.75 a year! When we came there was 9 others in attendance, but since then God has grown His church amazingly. We are finishing a building project to expand our auditorium to accommodate over 75 people. We are excited about what God is doing and thrilled to serve these amazing people in the Liverpool area! Pray for us as we continue training nationals to start independent Baptist church across England and the world.
My life’s verses are Philippians 1:20-21 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
January began with a Vision Service, where we spoke of the new theme, “I Believe.” God has led us to preach and teach through doctrine this year. Pray that God will use this to establish new believers and perfect the saints.
The third lockdown is still in force. In-person services have been able to continue on Sunday mornings with livestreaming, and then Wednesdays have been livestreamed. One man contacted us after watching a service online. He got saved through a livestreamed service and came across our online videos. He asked about coming to church but had difficulty coming because of the distance from Preston, which is about 20 miles away. Our friend and fellow missionary, Dave Solt, pastors in Preston, and we were able to connect them both. This man went to their church, and he is growing in the Lord. Thank the Lord for using media to reach another soul for Jesus!
Holly turned 40 in February. The boys and I enjoyed the day with her and tried to spoil her. I thank God for the godly wife He has given me! She is truly God’s given helpmeet in marriage, family, and ministry.
Our prayer for visa expenses has wonderfully been nearly met. Since our last letter, $3,100 has come in or been promised. Praise God! Please pray for the needed remainder of $380.
For Easter Sunday, we are having two services: a 9:00 a.m. service and an 11:00 a.m. service. We are giving out 100 gifts for children that morning on a first-come, first-served basis between the services. We are sending out 10,000 tracts to cover most of Skelmersdale, along with digitally promoting the day. Pray that God brings visitors for both the in-person services and the livestream. Our hearts yearn to see souls saved through this outreach.
Thank you for praying and graciously giving to reach people with the Gospel here in the UK.
Following the Saviour,
Justin, Holly, David, Jonathan, Nathan, and Samuel Williams
