At the age of five in our home in Findlay, Ohio, I asked Jesus to save me. My parents gave me the privilege of being reared in a Christian home. I attended a Christian school until the sixth grade and then a public school until the end of my junior year. I was home-schooled my senior year.

In January of 1997, God called me to preach. In March of the same year, I went to Pastors’ School for the first time. It was there that God led me to Hyles-Anderson College to prepare for the ministry. During the spring semester of 1999 in my freshman year at college, I was privileged to hear Brother Mark Bachman preach in the college’s Missions Conference. Under his preaching, I surrendered to go to England as a missionary.

After graduating Bible college in 2002, Holly and I stayed in the Crown Point area until she graduated the following May. In 2003 Holly and I moved to Delaware, OH to work in the ministry of our home church, Grace Baptist Church. One year later we began deputation. In February, 2009, we moved to England and started Grace Baptist Church in north London in October of the same year.

In May 2016, Skelmersdale Baptist Church, called me as pastor. SBC has seen God open amazing doors for them. The council has given us a building for the cost of $1.75 a year! When we came there was 9 others in attendance, but since then God has grown His church amazingly. We are finishing a building project to expand our auditorium to accommodate over 75 people. We are excited about what God is doing and thrilled to serve these amazing people in the Liverpool area! Pray for us as we continue training nationals to start independent Baptist church across England and the world.

My life’s verses are Philippians 1:20-21  According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Justin Williams Prayer Letter: Missions Month

Justin Williams Prayer Letter: Missions MonthGod has allowed my family and me to serve in a beautiful country. The creativity and imagination God wondrously used to create the British Isles are unrivaled. From the Highlands of Scotland to the White Cliffs of Dover, there is so much that draws one’s heart to God. Isaiah 45:18 says, “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, He created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.”

Holly and I were able to get away for a couple of days to celebrate our anniversary. Our 18th anniversary was back in May, but with the lockdown, we weren’t able to celebrate until September. We were able to visit the beautiful northern part of the Lake District, and then we picked up our boys for time away at the stunning White Cliffs of Dover. This was a much-needed time of rest, and we felt recharged upon returning.

Just as we planned to reopen our children’s ministries, our area was placed in tighter restrictions, and now Parliament has reinstated a lockdown. The second lockdown is supposed to end in early December. Just before the lockdown began, one of our church members tested positive for COVID, which moved us to have livestream-only services for two weeks. However, the lockdown was announced as we were about to restart services again. Pray for the UK please.

October is our Missions Month, and we focused on the theme, “Open Door.” The Lord led my heart over a year ago to focus on increasing our current missionaries support, and we are praying that Faith Promise increases will allow us to have a greater part in our missionaries’ support. Some of our missionaries were able to be with us in person or were a part of the services virtually. Through the month we were able to release some new digital tools to help the church share the Gospel. This has been very well received, with over 50 people viewing a Gospel film to date! Pray that God would increase our faith, both in giving to missions and in sharing the Gospel, with the tools He has given us.

Please pray for us. As we minister, serve, and preach the Gospel in the UK, much humbling is needed. People need Jesus! We covet your prayers for wisdom and opportunities to reach the world with Christ. Thank you for being faithful to our Lord in these days. We love you and are praying for you.

Praising the Saviour,

Justin, Holly, David, Jonathan, Nathan, and Samuel Williams
