Family News

We are excited about our second and third great-grandchildren coming this summer and fall. Darren and Beth Highfill’s Emily and Hans Mortensen are expecting in June, and Charity and Matthew Turpin are expecting in the fall.

We have one grandchild, Renee, daughter of Stephen and Sarah Woll, graduating from Stateline Christian School in Temperance, Michigan. and two grandchildren graduating from Hyles-Anderson College. Leslie Swartz will be graduating with her master’s degree. Her parents, Jeff and Jacque Swartz, and her two siblings will be coming up from North Carolina to attend the graduation. Then Hannah Schoof will be graduating with a missions degree. Her parents, missionaries Gregg and Angela Schoof, and her three siblings are here from Uganda for her graduation and a short furlough.

Souls Saved

Since the last letter, we’ve had the privilege of seeing 10 saved; 4 were parents of bus kids. We were at the 40th Anniversary of Central Fellowship Baptist Church in Lake Helen, Florida. Pastor Lamar Breedlove and I had the privilege of seeing 2 adults saved while going door-to-door soul winning. That afternoon, while visiting with Daniel on his bus route, one bus rider and one parent of a bus rider trusted Jesus. To God be the glory!

Buses

It was a pleasure to be able to work on 29 buses and to put 2 back on the road again. We also had the privilege of giving away 2 buses from churches that had upgraded their buses but still had the old ones that were in good shape because they were maintained properly. Praise the Lord!

Prayer Requests

(1) Pray for our health. (2) Pray that churches will either start a bus ministry or increase the bus ministries they already have. (3) Pray for missionaries Marco and Lauretta Hannel as they raise support to do the same thing we do. (4) Pray for the bus mechanic Prayer Portals. There has been as many as 30 on at one time or another. It is a big encouragement to them.
